Hello I put a deposit on one myself couldn't quit reading about the rifle online. And the main things that attracted me to this gun. Was number 1 : the monolithic upper and free floating barrel 2 I wanted a rifle that I could do multiple functions with it I figured we may not always be able to get ARs. I thought it would be a good shit hit the fan rifle. I'm a hunter a metal shooter and a target shooter. What should I expect from the rifle and what kind of scopes do you guys suggest. Am I going to hate this gun ore love it

I have one in 16ss (lm8mws), one in 18ss (mws) and a third custome fluted 14.5 all in 308. No issues, eat everything and all are accurate.
Optics? Whew, that's a long topic and so subjective. If you hunt in the East and shoot steel 0-600; I really like my mk6 1-6x and my mk8 cqbss 1.1-8x. Vortex, US optics, Swarovski and bushnell all have good 1-6 up to 1-8.5 in the bushy smrs. That said, the bushy 3.5-21x is good for the $$ if you want to shoot groups a little further or use extra power for observation, etc.

Dont - use the supplied tourque wrench or check the calibration of the supplied wrench prior to using it. A SnapOn truck guy will do this for you usually for free. Many have reported snapping barrel locking bolts with the supplied wrench.
Do - order some extra barrel bolts. About $10 each from LMT. It would suck snapping a bolt just prior to a shoot and not have a spare on hand.
Dont - expect to have cash in your wallet once you find out how fun it is to feed and you start accesorizing it.

I just received one with a 20" cl barrel. Very pleased. I matched it with the Trijicon ACOG w/BDC. I can tell you the BDC is dead on for the 7.62 FGMM with 175's. I was hitting 9" plates @ 600yrds with the 4x ACOG. Its weight will make recoil softer for follow ups. My set up is for ship board security. That being said, I am not looking to print clover leafs on paper. That is what my bolt gun is for. I need a reliable, moa to at least 600 yards, "shit hit the fan" rifle and the LMT is it.
I will definitely order extra barrel bolts. And I'm gonna get the 6.5 creedmoor since I have no way to reload any way. And will probably go with 20 inch ss barrel. And stay with the 16 inch chrome lined that comes with the rifle. That being said I'm looking for glass around the 4>14 power scope looking at leupold mk 6 , but so dam expensive. And you're right pmclaine my wallet is getting drains just thinking about it, but what's life if you're not doing what you love to do . By the way besides leupold do you guys think night force is the next big thing in terms of quality. Is there anything a little bit more economical as far as glass goes .
My only regret with mine was selling it. I had the 16" CL barrel and it shot 178 AMAX's into one little ragged hole. That said my next 308 gas gun purchase will be a Knights. I like them just a little better and they shoot a bit softer. It's quite a bit more money though even for the ER model which is the cheapest at about $3900 and you don't have the switch barrel capability.
Pmclaine speaks the truth. I've had my rifle a smidge over three years and broke my first barrel bolt today. Wouldn't you know I'm going down to shoot at K&M next week end so I'm really hoping LMT can send a replacement out quick.
I've read of several guys breaking barrel bolts and I knew I needed to order spares, now I'm on a time crunch and don't have spare. Make sure and save yourself the worry and get some spares on hand.
