I think think this is a great idea! In fact, I think should men should be removed from front line combat and be placed in supporting roles. Think about it, men have been getting maimed and killed in combat for thousands of years. I agree with them that it's not fair. From now on we should let women do all the fighting. If they want it so bad, let them have it.

Regarding the photo, I am having all the tawdry evil thoughts I typically have when greeted by such images but why, WHY, must their finger be on the triggers?

WTF.... it is a downward spiral that has no good ending. The worst thing the Navy did was allow women on ships. It would seem to help moral, but all it did was mess things up! As for the Navy, we had one pretty one that I remember on an aircraft carrier of 6,000 men. That was in the early 1990s though and we didn't get that many before I left. They all got E-3 straight out of boot camp. I never really understood why someone should be given rank based on a lack of penis.

If they do this, there can be no double standards allowed.

I'm unwilling to condamn this out of hand, and am trying to remain diligently neutral on the subject.

That's not easy for me. This is not a step I'd be comfortable authoring. As a Marine, I am constitutionally resistant to change in my Corps. It works because the Corps has been steadfast in its resistance to change. Messing with success has its pitfalls.

Anytime time they got caught having sex they just claimed rape and the guy went to prison and the girl just got reassigned. It was best to try and avoid them if you could. Happened alot. One time they caught them in the Caption's Gig. Master Chief walked by and noticed the boat was moving. Only one of them ever admitted it was consensual. Ironically it was the pretty one.

I'm not saying I did not "hit" any of them. There is only so much a man and his hand can take at sea for six months. I never had any illusions they were my girlfriends and they had several "friends" (some CPO(s) and Officers). Girls in the service make rank faster then men. That is ok...the have their place.

That said...its all history for me.

Good luck to the modern military. I still support ya'll 100% even though the higher ups are weak. ie. gay marines kissing. WTF. I miss don't ask, don't tell. I don't want to know.
