The "I don't just shoot my mouth off..." Thread...

Very Mauser sight set up.

Post a picture of the entire rifle at some point.

I meant to shoot my 10/22 with its buckhorn and brass bead iron sights but the weather has turned nice and I'm rekindling my romance with my .308s.

Got to check zero on one for a Sig Academy class at the end of the week.

Perhaps now that I wont have to mine snow to find the brass I can break a Garand out soon.

There are people missing in this thread. APOG will be able to flaunt his schlong on them.

It's very much a Mauser set up with the added benefit of adjustable rear sight.

Interesting fact: the sights in my pic are the original. The replacement sights I bought only go out to 200yds.

Ive not shot the 452 beyond 100 but I'll test the sights out to 300 when I shoot the A23 at 50.

I should get my Kahles on Monday so will see what the new Lapua brass for my 6.5 does. Should be a fun week.

the sights on the 452 UL are marked to 300,,the shorter bbl Trainer ,Lux and Full Stock 452s were marked to 200 yards,,,,I shot an A23/5 the other day that has 5 shots on the sighter and 5 each on the score targets with my Brno Model 4 with its factory peep sights,,prone off a rest F-Class style,,can show that target,,it has 25 shots on one target just not on the same bull,,

Post it up. Lets see the rifle too. Some nice guns out there.

also on the CZ sights,,,you can set the rear sight for your yardage and adjust the front sight up and down like an AR15 and get your ammo calibrated with the yardage marks on the rear sight and they actually work out pretty dang close ,,

the Brno M4 is at the top and has a John Langely 1.5 ounce trigger group,,,2nd rifle is the CZ452 UL in a Klinsky stock with PNW sight set,,bottom is a CZ 455V in a Klinsky stock with some sights I cobbled together at Champions Choice,,

the 452 UL is the easiest to shoot well from a sling,,the Model 4 is vuntage 1957 and shoots Midas Plus very well indeed,,

Thanks for that. You have some amazing rifles. I love that Klinsky stock. Did you buy from Europe or is there a US retailer by chance?

the rail isnt Anschutz or American either,,it takes some oddball size crap that you cant get here in the US ,,or you can either switch it out for an Anschutz rail or do what I did and take it off and have the slot milled out to take the Anschutz size accessories,,

the wood on the Klinsky stocks is from some kind of tree local to the Chech Rep and is only slightly softer than 416 stainless steel,,,I wish I had gotten a couple of the Rem 700 AICS looking stocks they have before dude retired,,I bet they would function as good as the AICS 1.5 and at 225$$ would have been a steal,,

playing around with my Ultra Lux ,,with the Palma sight I can ring an 18 inch plate at 300 yards easier than with my 16 inch AR15 ,,at 3 MOA per turn it is a bunch of turns from 25 yards to 300 ,,

It looks like you're not fully engaging your stop. Is that so? I'm looking into other stocks for my 452 UL. The Klinsky is out. I need a custom broker, form 6 etc.

general question - why don't we use hand stops on center fire PRS type rigs? With the focus on unsupported it makes a heap of sense. I'm thinking of putting an anschutz rail on my Sentinel stock for my new build. Might have a hand stop a QD hand stop on there.
