The Right to Shoot at Pilots

As previously mentioned, the golden rule would go a long way.... While it is pretty clear what the circumstances were in this case, when does the paraglider have the right to impede your range day with his paragliding? It would bode well for the douchenozzle paraglider to simply speak to the neighbors and discuss each party's concern for safety's sake. What if the homeowner is simply shooting clay pigeons and the paraglider buzzes through and gets shot? All legalities aside, there are many reasons for the paraglider to respect the homeowner and far fewer for the homeowner to respect the paraglider....

I use to do a lot of Wakeboarding and like an idiot, I used other people's docks as obstacles to perform tricks on. It would have been very easy for any of them to sabotage me (I think one actually may have tried and I can't blame them). As I grew wiser, I got permission beforehand. Surprisingly enough, there are a lot of homeowners that don't want idiot adrenaline junkies dying on their property :p

He should be in trouble for pointing a laser at anyone. Firing lasers at pilots is against the law and should be treated like firing a gun at them. Buzzing someone's property is also against the law. Anyone who does either one deserves the consequences.

Apparently he would only get charged with brandishing a laser. LOL. We have 4 paraglider fellas that take off out of our rc club flying field. One of the pilots told me that he had a farmer come out and shoot a shotgun at him. These paraglider guys like to go really low into the farm country and check out the deer in the fields. It can be annoying, however, does someone with a powered parachute pose a bodily harm risk to you? No. He now carries his pistol when he flies. (also not the answer). I think reporting the low flying gliders is the way to go if it is a re-occurring problem. Pulling a gun out and firing it is just reckless.
