Exactly, having a nonconforming opinion doesn't mean you're a concerned citizen, you catapult directly to "existential threat". The volume of the rhetoric is at 110% - 24-7 which in itself is one of the mind games played by the zealots to drown out any reasonable discourse.
So all the organized crime enforcers aka cops, .mil , feds are a ok. The people calling them out are the problem.

If I am in a protracted liberty or death struggle, uncompromising and shallow souls on both sides are my threat. One concern may have to be confronted before the other but ultimately both are threats.
My time with .gov showed me who was the problem in the agencies. It all emanated from some political appointee from what ever administration that couldn't even fill out their time sheet correctly, had no idea what the agencies mission was and no idea what constitutional authority the agency operated under.
There are the non political public servants operating within the confines of the Constitution and law then there are the upwardly mobile, who would break the law, lie just to get another GS level. There are people right now working in these agencies that are doing the best they can to keep these idiots from destroying the country at the same time trying not to get found out and fired. Some are just saying fuck it and retiring.
Believe it or not there are people within these agencies that believe in the Constitution, free speech. Lumping everyone into one group because they carry a badge is right up there with saying all Negros are bad.

This wasn't some off the cuff comments at a press conference. This was a prepared speech days in advance. The fact that this made it through the vetting and onto a live broadcast only to be completely, 100% retracted the very next day is beyond troubling and shows the mindset of those who are running that office day to day.

Not arguing with you, just throwing a slightly different perspective on this;
1. Yes, I do believe that the vast majority of those who left because of their refusal to get the jab were indeed, the good guys.
2. In my opinion, an individual's willingness to get the jab appears to be a form of an "oath of loyalty" to their perceived masters.
3. Given that the vast majority of states, Police and Military that were/are requiring the jab are based in liberal ideology, this would then suggest that those already in the ranks (and those new/incoming) that are willingly getting the jab are of a similar mindset.
So, this whole jab situation as it applies to Police and Military appears to me to be a very intentional, very well orchestrated purging of the ranks of those who are more likely to think for themselves and don't/won't follow orders like sheep. Those that are willingly taking the jab are those that are willing to blindly follow orders. The people in the middle who begrudgingly took the jab are those that felt they could not afford to be without a job and had/have to support their families. As much as I feel for the people in the middle, I don't believe they can be trusted any more than the hard core leftists.
At the end of the day, the Police and the Military are in worse shape today than they were three years ago. Are there still good people in the ranks ? Of course, just nowhere near as many as there were before. They've been replaced by less than stellar candidates, exactly the types that one needs to worry about.

I agree, but the purge had started long ago. More along the lines of Clinton in office I believe is when it got serious. They cleaned house as best they could, but the holdouts kept them from starting this change within the ranks long ago. They have been searching for reasons to remove or force the rest out. I spent 20 years (1998-2018) watching this evolution take place. There were places you could go that were more saturated with the true patriots, but I fear those hideouts are going away quickly now.
