From a couple of days ago. The mosquitos were a lot more abundant than the squirrels, but I managed to pop this big red at about 60 yards before I got eaten alive. The thermacell is coming with me on my next trip to the woods. I'm going to have to try the hot wing recipe on the legs, thats a great idea!

went to a squirrel hunting competition, my brother in law and it came in 5th out of 40 teams. prizes were judged on weight.

12 squirrels

SQMASTERS2010CHART.jpg

1st place 15.92 lbs.
2nd place 15.02 lbs.
3rd place 14.47 lbs.
4th place 13.28 lbs.
we were 13.18 lbs.

entry was $20.00 a team, x 40 teams = $800.00 prize! (i don't know if they used some of that prize money for the heaviest squirrel prize ($50.00) and some of the other things, but even if they used half of it, that's still $400.00!

that red squirrel cost us, but all i seen was the head..

TP- Nice hunting to you and the brother!

I bagged this monster at ~ 40yd. I used the Super Colibri 20gr ammo, rifle was zero'd for 50yd with STd. velocity 40gr bullets, I gave it 1mil hold over with 1/4 mil left wind hold. Perfect double lung. She was out picking up acorns and I clicked to get her to stop and stand up, then dropped her.

Biggest squirrel I have shot to date, it's in a 9x13" pan with an 8" chef knife for scale.

thanks for the compliment, that's the centerpoint 4-16x at walmart for a mere $69.00. FOR THE PRICE, the best scope i've owned. i've had $250.00ish scopes that weren't this clear on high magnification

i ordered the sunshade form the manufacturer for $10.00.
