Tired of ruining a roll of tape every few matches because it got wet, or the sides of the tape roll got banged up getting dents in it, which causes the tape not to tear when you try to pull it off the roll?

Well we have just solved that issue with The Tape Saver.

The tape saver is designed to keep your tape warm, dry and protect the roll inside our uniquely designed case.
Easily hang your Tape Saver by the hanging tab and D-ring, which allows it to be hung from your pack, wagon, tripod etc.

The Tape Saver is ambidextrous and features two rain bumpers that cause the water to drip from them to protect your tape. The inside hole can also accept a hand warmer to keep the tape warm in sever cold weather.

If you are like me you ruin 3-4 rolls a year of tape by not protecting it. Then The Tape Saver will help fix that for you.

This is for masking tape, right?

I was going to make fun of this product but after thinking about it, I think might be pretty cool.

I use gaffer tape for dope, which is super expensive (for tape) just because I have some laying around. But I am not a competitor and do not use much of it.

I’ve also never gotten a roll wet. Not sure what would happen to it.

It's alot easier to carry dope cards prepared with tear offs.

The adhesive is effectively water-proof, and each layer is protected--ie clean and dry underneath. A new layer for each stage...etc

    see, eg
I create tear offs using masking tape. Then I will write down the DOPE and any notes prior to the stage. When over, I tear it off and have a clean sheet ready to go.

To create the tear offs, I take the masking tape and pull it out to approximately the length of the DOPE board, a little longer, especially the bottom, and then fold the bottom onto itself creating a tab, then repeat until I have 10 - 12 sheets. Then I take a pair of scissors and cut the tops off clean with the top of the DOPE board.

Masking tape, duct tape or whatever will fit in there. Not tape specific. Just protects the tape as you carry it with you in your pack, bag or vehicle.
