Re: the twins - almost

Hey savage338lapua, I will be picking up my new Savage 110BA in 338 lapua in a week. I was wondering if you could give me a few pointers? Like what type of scope you run? And what types you might recommend? There are a million scopes out there. I have had great luck with Leupold, but am leaning Night Force? Also what type of loads you are running? I would like to try and run 250/300gr Lapua Scenars, or is it just the same to run with the sierra 300s? I've got a lot of questions but this will do for now. I'm not new to shooting, just new to this gun and caliber. I shoot and reload for most of my guns, 6.5x284,7mm,.223 and 308. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Re: the twins - almost

well i have a hawke 4x14x42 scope on it thought i would give them a try after reading a lot of reviews on them.
it holds zero perfectly, i have shot it on the square 4 times and it aways returns to zero and thats on the 110ba .338 lapua mag. my 10bas/k has a ss 10x42 it was one of the first ones swfa ever sold, i think it was one of the navy contract scopes because it has absolutely no markings on it anywhere that tells you where or who made it. it has always held zero and i have had this scope for 15 years or so. the 10 bas/k will shoot 1/4 moa with a 168 gr. smk and 47 grains of bl(c)2 if i do my part. buti just loaded up some 155 grain smk's at 2950 fps so we'll see how good they shoot. should be good because this gun with a sgk (sierra game king) 150 gr. flat base shot 1/2 moa at 100 yards.

the 110 ba i am just now getting to shoot have loaded retumbo and h-1000 with 300 smk's it shot 1/2 moa at 100 yards with hornady factory loads with 250 gr. bullet
i will post pics as i get to shoot it more.
