My .22 Mauser ES350B from 1936.
It has a 26" barrel, Kahles scope 3-9x variable.

Cheers,

Re: The ULTIMATE Mauser .22 Sniper

From the looks of the ES 350B, it is original except for the scope and mount. I have it's smaller brother the ES 340 B that I plan on putting a vintage German Voigtlander 4X scope on. The mounts need some work before I can accomplish this. The Germans built some nice rifles during the pre WWII era. Very nice 350B

Re: The ULTIMATE Mauser .22 Sniper

Ja the scope is not what came with the rifle back in the days.
The rings are new.
I will put a Leupold Mark 4 8,5-25x50 on it it will have enough elevation to make the +200m shoots.

These rifles are very accurate.

Cheers,

Re: The ULTIMATE Mauser .22 Sniper

The scope only has elevation built in, any lateral adjustments has to be made with the mounts for a scope like that.

I love the rifle and the scop however they would most likely have been scoped with scopes more like Unertls similar to the time,

Just as sweet as can be those rifles.

Have any one of you all seen Monty Phytons Flying Circus?

The tale of the killer rabbit, that´s the one, fangs and all.

In real life that is bronze medal class, or so I am told, Chinese Water Deer.

Deer come in all sizes and shapes.

I, too, would like more information on its history.
And the beret flash? </div></div>

The rifle is a Mauser ES 350 B from 1936 and it was the best .22 rifle Mauser made back then. The cost of this rifle was the same as if you bought a normal rifle like a 8x57JS.
It is a single shot bolt rifle, with the Large Mauser style extractor.

The beret and flash!!!!! Lets see if there is anyone out there that can guess it

Re: The ULTIMATE Mauser .22 Sniper

Well almost true, you almost got it, NOT the rifle but the beret.
The one in my picture is green NOT black!

Getting a ES350B is NOT easy, and luck will help to. If I find one I will PM you.

Re: The ULTIMATE Mauser .22 Sniper

I see one of these on MGO (michigan gun owners forums) for sale for $575 or something like that. It is MINT condition. I wish I had the dime, these are some of the nicest and nostalgic .22's ever made.

Very, very nice.
