So let me premise this by saying I do have wrist issues so development of such a spreadsheet will be slow but I believe I can do the following and was curious about feedback from a user input standpoint. This will heavily use macros so I believe a full version of excel will be needed. This was inspired by the 6.5 guys spreadsheet that can be seen here:
So the 6.5 guys one is a bit limited in the array dimensions as you are stuck with 10 groups of 5 shots. You can manually change the array if you know a bit about excel but I personally sometimes will do 10x10 or 5x20. So currently the progress I have made is to ask the user for # of shots and # of groups and it will make the table for you. I had put that on the back burner for a while but then I saw a post about someone asking about pulling in magneeto speed data to a spreadsheet and figured I would give that a try. I was able to write a small macro which brings up a file browser and is able to detect if the file is a labradar file or a magneeto speed macro. I am pretty confident I could parse the data and have it set up where you just give it the file (magneeto speed) or list of files (labradar, each group is its own file) and have it figure out the table size automatically and populate it then put up the graphs.
Now there are typically two things someone does with reloading, powder charge vs SD/Velocity/Group Size and seating depth vs SD/Valocity/Group Size. IIRC I was able to upgate a graph no problem but I want to take this even further. I was thinking I could have it set up where you fill out a standard spreadsheet, manually or by passing in the csv file for the labradar or magneeto speed but also once that "one session" info is done, add it to a file that tracks past sessions. So you can see things like graphs of how much your Case Base to Lands has changed over however many shots, one powder vs another on the same grpah so you can see performance that way. etc etc.
So what would you like to see in an ultimate reloading spreadsheet, what sort of graphs and info would you like to be able to have it create for you?
-Thanks-
