The weapon mounted LRF conundrum.

Obviously it doesn't apply to Sig, but a lot of the cheap "ballistic calculator" solutions, especially the ones coming out of China, don't take shooting angle into account. And they don't bother to mention this shortcoming in their sales literature. A good example is the PARD and DNT Optics scopes that claim to have built-in ballistic solvers.
Yeah there always is a short coming somewhere, for me, it’ll be on a thermal rig and just used as a reference for distance. That’s why I have a hard time justifying the vortex

There's no shortcoming with the Sig line of BDX rangefinders, and you can get them pretty cheap. They use Applied Ballistics so they'll give you both your range and the firing solution and be pretty darn accurate.

I know they’re solid range finders, im
Just curious the time line of release and price of this new unit

Yeah that thing is badass, but I think I'd still do a handheld BDX rangefinder with the Sightlok mount if you're shooting at night. The lit LED displays of that Sig will shine light on your face and can give up your position when you're shooting at night.

Oh I’m not to worried about that. My scanner, scope, and tx1000 do plenty of lighting up and I’ve never had many issues with getting spotted
