Hunting & Fishing Thermal Coyote from the other night

Thats 500 yds where the coyote first comes into the screen?
Nice shot!
he was around 250 when first coming into the picture , I forgot to hit record when he first broke the tree line

Great video , what thermal have you used ?
I’ve used Both trijicon and pulsar, this video came from a pulsar trail xp38. I’ve got another video that came from my helion xp28 I will post

Here is a video shot from my handheld, took a buddy out that’s new to thermal hunting. Had some user errors on his end and didn’t get a shot on this dog! Lucky coyote

Which Trijicon do you have? I may have to get myself a pulsar until I can afford the Trijicon. This footage looks a little better than what I’ve seen on YouTube with the pulsar stuff, I guess due to upload quality.

I had the reap ir, sold it and moved to the trail xp38 . I loved the trijicon and would buy another given the chance, but I didn’t like having an external battery and dvr hooked to the rifle. I ran a friends pulsar one night and it wasn’t as clear as my trijicon but it was clear enough, and I didn’t have to mess with all the external stuff.

There is a good chance the video on YouTube came from an xq model pulsar, they are 384, the xp model is 640. The 640 gives a lot better resolution . The conditions play a large factor also, that night was about 40*f and very low humidity.

Awesome video! I live in MO where lights and night vision are a no-go for any hunting, including predator. Have a friend in IL that has invited me to go with him and his thermal set ups but haven't ever been able to pull it off.

I’m in the same boat, Mo. is kinda archaic when it comes to night hunting.....?
