This guy puts a new perspective on Chinese optics.

What a noble, self sacrificing man. All he wants is for the poor chinese children to get a good meal and warm clothes. Brings tears to my eyes.
I bet he is the loudest guy in the room when the pledge of allegiance is said.
What do I think? Hang on, I'm in the middle of a dystopian fantasy, I'm standing at my gate. The economy has been brought to it's knees due to continued chinese manipulation, skullduggery, with the willful assistance of the US Gov and "entrepreneurs" like Mr asshat . Mr. asshat is begging for help. I smile, kick him in the balls, and close the gate in his face. Yeah, I know, childish, immature, and vindictive. But I truly hate fuckers like him.

for what it's worth,i have been happy with athlon (china), vortex (phillipines) and leupold waaay back in time. can't afford, don't need US made leupold level of optic now. CS in all 3 have been so good that i just wonder why CS in all business is not first rate. bad CS an obvious way to shaft a buyer.

Our economy wasn’t destroyed “by China”. It was destroyed(sold out) by your fuckface political class who raised taxes so much and tightened ridiculous regulatory screws that forced business over to China. We also can’t forget the manipulation of China by Henry Kissinger and his Rockefeller backers.

I agree, Yet here we are... importing, hawking, selling, and buying, and gushing about mass amounts of chinese goods because we can save a buck or two. We bitch about what the fuckface political class did, but yet, can't wait to buy the latest chinese dingle. In the end, we do exactly what the fuckface political class dictates because WE buy the shit.

Damn it, you made me like the post and agree with you. To quote Greta, "How dare you!"

And while @The D has a good point, we should only speak of the quality of the scope, not whether it is chinese or japanese. Even Arken is selling Japan because that is what the customer wants, regardless if the glass is better, or not. Like not having any other purse but that made by Gucci.

I have a little secret to share, cautiously looking both ways. Glass is made from sand. There is no "chinese" sand or "japanese" sand. Other than anecdotal tales, how is it quantifiable that japanese is better than chinese? Or phillipino? Your Vortex scopes, some made in Phillipines, are more expensive than Arken, which has some made with japanese glass.

There, now, that should piss everyone right the fuck off. You are welcome, internet.

Some people don't have a choice and I’m not talking about knockoff tacticool gun baubles. Some people need to compromise with cheap Walmart shit so they can afford to put cheap food on the table. They’ve been fucked over for so long and so hard by dc that they’re almost out of options

Kinda. If you want something bad enough, you’ll find a way. And I don’t mean lie cheat or steal.

If we’re talking about some shiny trinket, yes it’ll happen if you want it bad enough. Be it guns, cars, or any number of things. What I'm actually talking about is way outside the scope of this thread. I’m talking about someone who has been fucked from the moment they were born. Dipshit parents who send said person to a shitty public school and is just smart enough to get some barely middle class job. Then they listen to their fucking stupid doctor tell them to get every update booster every year, tell them to eat the fucking food pyramid(or whatever dumb shit it is now), and stay inside away from the evil sun. On top of that, all they do is watch zombie network tv all the time. This is the person that cheap Chinese shit is made for. Right or wrong doesn't matter, it just is

Sorry, I’ll let someone use the soapbox now…

The most important battle is convincing people to not buy "OEM Chicom" products because that's the most damaging to the western world. It's why I don't buy Lenovo tech hardware, G.E./General Electric appliances & products, Haier appliances, Ryobi tools & Milwaukee tools (both are fully owned by a Chicom corp named TTI), Holosun, Fenix, Olight, Swampfox, Norinco. All 100 percent Chicom.

Sure it sucks when western companies have stuff made there, or buy parts from there. But that's not even in the same ballpark of egregiousness as the "OEM Chicom" stuff and it's absurd to pretend otherwise.

Which models did you compare?

I have an S&B PMII 5x25, ATACR 1-8 and 4-16f1, and Bushnell LHRS to compare it to. None of which are pinnacle class optics, but by no means slouches either. And while my eyes are not discerning all the aspects that Koshkin might look for when comparing scopes, the levels of light brought in and clarity delivered by this little chinese scope is easily comparable to me.

In this one line only they outsource the glass from Germany so maybe the performance shouldnt be a wonder.

""German Optics Sys by Using LaREE Lens & VePRO FMC, Extra-Low Dispersion Glass""

Edit: I did leave out that the exit pupil is a little tight at max magnification. But I am not running 3 gun matches with it, and instead ambushing deer.

So a vector 5-30x compares favorably with a Schmidt 5-25? You put both on 25x and couldn’t tell the difference?

I've got a vector 1-8 and I am not comparing directly to a S&B 5-25 given one has a 24mm objective lens vs a 56mm. But if you set them both between 5 and 8 power to compare clarity, then yeah it might be there at least with moderate light available. Not favorably over the S&B, but it may best the ATACR 1-8. Is it built like an ATACR, certainly not. But it may be clearer and brighter.

I always look for the “Made in China” label.

Then Immediately make sure I don’t buy it.

If even half of Americans stopped buying Chinese shit, they would go back to being starving peasants in a matter of weeks. And probably become a world “player” instead of the next Hitler. Chi coms are not our friends… and are really now Chi-fascists.

And need to be stopped before we end up in WW 3.

We can stop them now. In their tracks. By buying nothing Chinese. Or since that is “almost” impossible… buying bare minimum.

Japan, Korea, Taiwan. Even the Vietnamese have merit. But China needs to be starved into economic depression before its government destroys the globe.

The global elites everyone is always braying on about? Are nothing compared to what these ChiCom leaders will do to the world.

Nobody had a problem with China when it was being used to fuck over the working man by exporting all our middle class jobs and letting domestic businesses arbitrage labor costs for fat profits. Now that the Chinese have finally worked their way up the value chains, any sympathy I might have had for American big business is looong gone, they can go fuck themselves.

We sold them the rope with which they will hang us.

Just like they said we would!

Once it’s understood that every human is a hypocrite and selfish…everything becomes clear.

And the people who say they aren’t the loudest..are the worst.

It’s just the way it is.

Is Something with a “made in America sticker” …produced on a Chinese sewing machine…is it really made in America

A 2 pack of American made deodorant at CVS…the plastic band is Chinese plastic bundled on a Chinese bundling machine…still made in America.?

Yes there are levels to things but instead of being an absolutist, the idea is to exploit them where possible. Because the economies of scale and price differential can not be overcome easily if possible at all.

The US actually did try to buy local it was called NAFTA. The idea was to buy products with cheaper labor from the western hemisphere rather than Asia, yet be under a higher quality spec relatively speaking.

Main problem was the western hemisphere learned very quickly that unionizing/ demanding higher wages was a very real possibility. So not only were the imports at a lower quality but the wage gap (possible exploitation of “Mexican” labor) wasn’t the same metric anymore.

It would bolster Latin America with money and wages etc. in theory it was a win win back then.

…hello china and east Asia

I knew a guy who worked at a company locally that assembled thermostat controls. Some parts made in China, some in Mexico. Assembled here and it has a "Made in USA" sticker on it.

If’n y’all want to starve the beast that is stealing your way of life and liberty, boycotting China is not going to get the job done at this point.

China is just a pawn to the rules makers of the chess board. The only way to win, is to take away the rules makers ability to trade your value for money printed out of thin air. Edit: Foreclose on all their holdings and then prevent them from ever weaseling their corrupt ways behind the levers of power ever again.

I won't shoulder the burden to erase the bullshit choices in trade and US economy/finances. I buy the best product for the price or my needs. The flag waving buy only US is a nice sentiment but you are pissing into a hurricane if you think anything is being accomplished. This country is getting fixed one of 2 ways. Biblical/natural catastrophy on the grand scale or the good old fashioned way. Until then I don't care where something is made if it is quality and getting the most bang for the dollar. Many times that is USA. Many times it is not. Nature of the uneven playing field the puppet masters have orchestrated. For example thermal optics.......get 3 Bering Optics for the family to use night hunting or one Trijicon and everybody can take turns looking in it on a night hunt because "buy USA". I get it though and no issues from me if that is your form of resistance to the crap because we all need to be doing something.

We all had a problem with it. And it's about saving our republic and fellow Americans, not about big business. Wake TF up.

The Founding Father's risked it all while leading our nation in the struggle for independence, and many lost their lives and fortunes in the struggle. Our current crop of "leaders" and elites steal everything that isn't tied down and once they have driven our country to the brink of destruction then they start singing the "we are in this together and must make sacrifices for the good of the nation" song where they pay nothing to make things right and the rest of us who didn't cause the problem pay to fix it.

Once they start leading by example I might be willing to join them, until then I'm not interested in making any more sacrifices that only serve to line their pockets.

Not since we banned Norinco and all the really good cheap AK’s were banned.

That sucked. AK’s are the only good thing the commies ever made.

Want to see a liberals head explode? Remind them the only thing commies ever made that worked was the AK47.

We never had to worry about Soviet suitcase nukes back in the 1980’s because they lacked the technology and industrial capability to make a suitcase.

My first pistol optic was a Trijicon. My 2nd pistol optic was a Holosun.

My 3rd optic was a Holosun.

Guess what my 4th will be? And it's got nothing to do with price.
And I consider myself a red-blooded flag-waving veteran American Patriot.

I wish Trijicon would make an (updated) optic with the features I like. I'd buy it.

China mines 4x the amount of lead the US does and is the world leader

China is tied for 3rd with the US in copper production (chile is the biggest)

What are Bullets made of??

FFS. The GMC HD trucks don’t even make the top 100.

Knew I should have kept the Tundra.

Except the tundra doesn't even begin to compare to a 3500. Doesn't have the chassis or suspension to compete when using a truck for truck things.

My truck has a sticker on the door that it rolled out of Michigan. It has parts made in Canada and Mexico. My Yukon was made in Michigan, 2 other trucks made in Canada.

Buick is the one they're damn near importing from China, but it's the #1 selling car in China.

The bigger point is that there are no more lead smelters left in the US. All the lead comes from China because the EPA made it cheaper to burn a few million gallons of bunker oil every shipment than melt lead ore.

The EPA has gotten out of hand (you wouldn’t believe the crap we get cited for..and we do it by the book) but we can’t go back to poisoning our own water system.

Not that china isn’t but we’ll get a few more years out of ours.

If it’s going to shit I’ll stay at the top of the pile as long as I can lol

As they have zero domestic market for it and zero homegrown experience outside subcontracting for all them ''made in USA '' , that is not going to happen. Chinese are strictly business , they really do not care what they are making,Hyper capitalist society more akin to US in 1900 than today,

CCP is just a brand , we are talking a uni party state , but in the end from what we are experiencing at home we might just have slightly more kabuki theatre in pretending we are not all living in Uni party states

But like it or not bread and butter of many US 'manufacturers' are Chinese parts , be that optics or castings for reloading presses .or all the small accessories . Customers are cheap not willing to pay made in US that is only reason its all made in China.

Note Mexico is much cheaper than China in terms of labor, shipping, tariffs, but Mexico is not becoming next China any time soon, like it or not Chinese are far more productive and clusters of industrial base are just of the charts.

I have some experience with chinese and japanese optics OEMs and hunger for more vs we have enough orders i think will slowy see Chinese erode Japanese OEMs in many price ranges, maybe not the top tier yet but we are not far.

A friend of mine after making it big on Kickstarter , plowed through all the steps of making his product first locally then south of the border, feed up with QC issues , he took it to China, brought a sample with him, and drawings for 3 proposed designs , next day they had 3 prototypes finished on the desk . Mind blown by both capacity and more that willingness to commit for what is in the global scheme of things a tiny business.

Holosun is just a label created by the OEM Chicom manufacturer Huanic, and Huanic is a big supplier to their Military... Aiding & abetting them can't be excused with the refrain 'Muh Features'.

Now, if the Chicom fans would keep quiet and not shill for them- we'd have no way of knowing about said shills, and the shills wouldn't get butt hurt. "Don't shill, don't get triggered".

The Douchebag in the video forgot to mention how the Chinese reverse engineer American products and could give 2 shits about copyright infringement. That fat fuck is making money from peddling stolen information and American ingenuity. Anyone who disagrees with what I said, needs to wake the fuck up.

Problem is, all too often, the only country building a product is the red chinese. I do my best to purchase American, if that is not available, anything but china made. But in too many cases, it’s not available. I do believe that instead of saying “imported” (only to find out imported is red chinese) it should say the actual country of origin.

Heard too many say, we need world trade, we have to have world trade, the world would collapse (and presumably become a mini black hole) if the people of the United States of American did nto participate and emphasize “World Trade.” I say fuck it. If it’s available, and it’s good enough to do the job, get American.

The idea of free trade is great but it's not a real thing. Instead we get a bunch of governments and rich folk using all kinds of laws and subsidies to rob the rest of us and call it "free trade". Just as an example, I used to see so much H1B visa bullshit used to import cheap programming labor it was sickening.
