Wondering what the intent of the author is ... and I don't mean the self-serving one enumerated in the op-ed. Gin up more talk about 25th and roll the dice for a Pence presidency? Isolate the president and induce increasing and destructive levels of paranoia leading to the same? Back-handed effort to get the president to clean house and get rid of political enemies?

Regardless, it's pretty dangerous on the geo-political scale. Patriotism as a rationale doesn't cut it here.
