Does anyone have one of these (LINK) or shot one? I'm doing some research on them. I really like the built-in base on top of the action. Any feedback on how it shoots and your opinions on them would be great. Thanks!

I haven't shot one yet, but I like it so far. The initial bolt lift is a bit heavy for such a light rifle. The bolt manipulation, for me, is a bit awkward when the rifle is shouldered. I'm not a fan of the magazine or the mag catch. And the lack of a rail might limit the possible eye relief available depending on the scope you choose. Otherwise, it has potential.

Get a hold of George, he had hand in helping with the initial Icon.
We had one down at a match at RO, Ian brought one down we got to shoot, but since the company went into a series of changes the priorities where moved about a bit.

Yes, I saw the Warlord. That IS sweet. This is for a hunting rifle. I'm doing a little looking for a customer.

We didn't have a Warload down, we had the Icon hunting rifle there, the Warlord wasn't built at the time.

Interesting on the Warlord, pick your stock and metal color, then even your barrel twist. AICS style mags it appears and all for $3,000 with a 1/2 moa guarantee.

The SH Build was supposed to be a Warlord, they went through George to facilitate this and then when the company changed hands it was dropped as the Warlord was not meant to interfere with the S&W tactical stuff or something to that effect.
But originally the 2008 SH Build was supposed to based on this rifle.
