The 250's are giant turds.

No-one is using them, and the only major agency that tried them (having a long history of buying Sigs) recalled them from service because they wouldn't run worth a damn.
Avoid them like the plague.

I am just not a fan. If you want a sig at a lower price like the p250 look for a sp2022. They were about 500 new a year or so ago.

P250's are nothing special. IMO the money would be better spent on another sig, including the P2022. The 2022 is a proven design if you're looking for something polymer, but if you want something polymer, check out a M&P or a glock, both are significantly better than the P250's.
I'm a huge sig fan and have the 226 and 229 which I use and love. I seriously evaluated a P250 before electing not to buy one, including a rental and about 300 rounds through one.

i own glocks and beretta pistol just wanted to try something different are they really that bad of a pistol or do people just hate DAO that much

I had a P250 in 9mm about 6 months after they came out. I will agree with the comments above, the P250 is a giant turd. I had it for about 6 months and put a little over a thousand rounds down range, way too many malfunctions for me. Money would be better spent elsewhere.

The DAO on it isn't great but it's not a deal breaker, it's the rest of the pistol not living up to SIG's reputation that's a deal breaker. If you want one then get one, but as far as pistols go they are on the bottom of my long list and not even on the short list.
The P250's whole concept was based around a problem that doesn't need solving. It may be interesting or novel to be able to swap out or remove everything except a little pistol receiver and make the pistol 5 different calibers, but the practicality of it is very low and the expense is such that you could buy 5 different very reliable dedicated pistols for what the conversion kits cost for the P250.
Frankly I just don't see any up-side to owning or buying this pistol. But at the end of the day make your own decision, rent or borrow one and shoot it then see what you think. I did that and found it lacking.
