Thoughts on the RCBS Summit

Looking for opinions. I'm thinking of buying one when available.

I think a press is a press.

There's no magic in presses, it would probably be great for left handed folk but all any of them can do is push cases into and pull them out of the dies. No press can MAKE a case go straight into the dies so the ammo will depend on your skill and your dies, not the press. Buy your press by the features you prefer and go with it; I see nothing about the Summit I would prefer so I won't be getting one but that's irrelivant to you.

I checked out the RCBS Summit fairly recently. It seems really well made and stout but I still like my Forster Co-Ax a lot better. The fact that the Co-Ax uses the jaws as shellholders and how fast it is to change dies is perfect and it's also extremely well made.

The idea behind this press is that it does not hang below the bench or table that it is mounted to, which is fairly unique to most reloading presses.

Take a look at the youtube videos; they make a big deal about seating a bullet. Is that how a Forster works as well? You manually seat the bullet by feel rather than by a mechanical stop? I'm an RCBS guy (cave-man simple...)

The reason I ask is, I have a rock chucker, and am thinking of buying something maybe a bit better. Been looking at the Co-Ax, and came across this ,new offering from rcbs. I'm not certain exactly what i want to do just yet, but just thought this may be the new and improved cats ass.

I had primer chucker, I switched to co-ax. Co-ax walks on water and cures cancer.

There is a good thread over on the highroad forum where a few guy have them. Also, there was a good review on Accurate shooter a few days ago. I'm interested in getting one, but I want to make sure they are good first.
