Looking to seperate our barreled actions from the crowd now that big barrels are the norm. In early 20 spotting our rifles was easy but now just blend in. Thinking of lasering this a few inches before the crown on all builds going forward and offering the splined fluting as an option at a modest cost, will also offering splined tuners.

Lasering is nice but I would want it just forward of the action. Never saw it at the crown. Not a fan of fluting in any form.

    540 or 1000?

    Do dick veins.

OK, seriously, the splines to the very end looks like something's unfinished. But then, splines ending before the muzzle would just be overly busy fluting. How about those splines in a helix, maybe with a progressive gain twist from rec. to muzzle? Or do hexagons from end to end with matted-out reliefs.

Tractor PTO shafts are finely splined for 1000rpm, and coarsely splined for 540RPM. Old farmer, recognized what the reference was to immediately...lol
And I've seen my share of broken truck axles over the years - mostly on old single axle farm trucks that we used to haul chopped forage in, and that got bogged down while trying to dump a load. The driver would shift into compound low, rev up the engine, and pop the clutch...snap!

I'll make one special for you lol, actually making a custom bolt knob like that for a rifle build we are doing... We have done flats, strait and spiral fluting but this was just something to do on the end to set them apart.

You asked for opinions. Your company has already established itself as being one of the very best in the industry and "above the crowed". An identity gimmick puts you one step closer to being a member of what you are trying to distance yourself from. If your object is to identify your barrel while sitting in a rack with others my preference would be something akin to glass beaded finish. Distinct but with the class your work deserves.

Thanks for the kind words, I realize that everyone has a different taste but I get asked to do all kinds of stuff. It was just an idea that I liked enough that we may offer as an option for those interested but I do like your idea of the glass beaded finish ;)

Looks cool, but pretty much all my .22s have the muzzles threaded for suppressors, so fancy splines would never be seen on my rifles.
When you get into these 1.2 straight tubes and the way PRS .22 is going threading them is going away.

Having threaded is cool but for matches suppressors don’t get used anyways.

Just my opinion and worth exactly what you paid for it but I don't want anything like what you have posted on my rifle. When I have a high end firearm built and it performs as well or better than expected I will tell anyone who listens about it. Send me a stack of stickers with it and I will probably put one on my hard case and give the rest to friends as I tell them about my amazing firearm. If you want to sponsor me as an amateur piss poor shot then yes, put your logo and distinctive markings all over the firearm but since I am paying you I would prefer something small and non-gimicky looking.
