Suppressors Threaded Barrel for Walther P99

Re: Threaded Barrel for Walther P99

Though many here, including myself, have issues with the standard trigger on the P99, it makes an excellent host for just what you are doing. Threaded barrels for the P99 are not inexpensive, they can be very expensive. Wes, if you want factory barrels and are willing to pay the $ involved, then know a number of things:

1. The barrels are made in Germany and marked as such.
2. Threaded right in Mass.
3. The guy that makes them, Earl, is a library of all thing Walther.
4. The barrels are excellent quality and backed.

Re: Threaded Barrel for Walther P99

Backpressure....

Your trident has an overcompensated Neilson device for the P99 and that is not the least bit unusual. Most suppressor companies overdue it to insure functionality in all instances on all platforms.

The balance is fairly delicate and the system needs to be able to be tuned. At best, the system should be able to be manipulated to go from "auto" to "single" shot with a twist of the can. In most cases, the barrel itself comes into play and the whole unit (suppressor, spring, barrel) should be tuned to provide flawless function without over pressure. And then there is the cleaning aspect..
