Was considering upgrading from a Harris to this or an Atlas. Probably been asked a hundred time, but I cant seem to get thee search function to run...
Thughts on Long Range Accuracy Bipod?

I have 1 harris, 5 Atlas and 1 LRA bipod, IMO the Atlas is perfect for 90% of my rifles. The Atlas is very solid and has some fore and aft play that aids in recoil management with the proper technique of coarse. On my 21lb 338LM I prefer the LRA bipod, I find that its better suited to larger heavier rifles that the Atlas. The LRA has a wider stance and lower centre of pivot, makes it very stable. I find the LRA more cumbersome to setup than the Atlas thou, the Atlas is better suited for more dynamic shooting, engaging multiple targets, quicker deployment, etc.
Basically the LRA is right at home on a heavy big boomer, or for someone doing f-class style shooting but I like the Atlas for anything less that a 20lb that rifle that will get moved around.
Not sure where in Alberta you are but if your around Grande Prairie let me know and I will let you try it out.
If you decide to pick up a LRA call Ross and Steve at PGW, I've always had great service from them.

GG@G has a nice choice , I am using the HD with quick disconnect, works great , very steady, I have heard nothing but good things about the Atlas also.

I would vote for the Atlas. The bipod is very solid, adjustable and the manufacturer is great to work with.

What are you putting it on? You may want to wait until next week before you buy anything: I think a lot of people are expecting the new Atlas v10/5-H (designed for .338LM on up) to be announced at SHOT.
I just got one in the mail. I haven't used it yet, but just holding it... it is very well machined. It just looks expensive. The real down side is the bulk. I am probably not a good judge as I have both Harris and Atlas on QD platforms and I find that I reach for the Harris more than the Atlas. I think I am going to like the LRA.
