Hunting & Fishing Thumbhole stock for hunting rifle?

Any of you guys use one? Thinking about getting one for my future hunting rifle build. Probably a McMillan or something. I like the feel of the thumbhole stocks, but just wondering as far as a hunting rifle how good it would be.

What's your thoughts?

I have never used one for deer hunting, but I have done it will offhand small game and varmint. I enjoyed it and like the feel. I am still a bigger fan of "American" looking stocks. There is just something about them!

**I have shot .308 hunting rifles with TH though and they were a blast. I just personally haven't taken one in the woods for deer. Only in fields for varmint.
