Suppressors Ti can in a barrel vise?

Don't want to....doesn't feel right....but my brake is stuck.....like sword-in-the-stone stuck in the can. I can't apply enough torque by hand on the can while the wrench for the brake is in a bench vise. Any other ideas?

My only other thought is to soak the whole thing in peroxide/vinegar solution like I've done to remove carbon on steel brakes. Will this solution be safe for Titanium?

It's a Suppressed Armament Ti Arbiter with a 419 brake/adapter do-dad.

Honestly I bet the can would be fine but how are you going to keep it from spinning in your vise and destroying the finish? Have you asked SA what they would recommend?

After the CLP soak, use a leather strap wrench. Should do the job. Good luck!

I have heard that you can shoot the can to warm everything up just 2-3 shots and then it will come loose. Haven't tried this but it might work if you are close to a range.

Shoot it to get it warm and use a strap wrench. It has worked for me. I got the Craftsman wrenches that jave a plastic handle and hard rubber strap.

Or just by cans that use mounts like the tbac sr mount or dead air keymo that don't get stuck....

Is the brake still torqued on the rifle barrel?

Id wrap it twice in tractor tire inner tube and grab it with a pipe wrench.

That is if a conventional strap wrench and PB Blaster on the interface don't get it first.

Does the brake have flats on it, for a wrench? If so, a strap wrench and a combo wrench might work.

What about throwing the whole works in an ultrasonic cleaner with some Simple Green for an hour?

This would heat it and remove some carbon at the same time.

No, the brake is a 419 Sidewinder system. It's in the can. I did manage to get the universal adapter out because it's reverse threaded from the brake.

On the Area 419 system there should be no brake used with the can, you have a universal adapter you put on the rifle barrel and a can adapter that will screw reverse thread onto the universal adapter that is all of the parts that I am aware of with the Area 419. After you take the can off you can thread a brake on it.

On some models the suppressor adapter has a brake like shape. Supposed to minimize blast baffle wear on suppressors that were intended to be a brake attached method like TBAC.

Filter strap on your breaker bar, hopefully you have a strap with a socket fitting.
