Gunsmithing tikka bolts

Re: tikka bolts

There was a guy by the username fortis if I remember correctly that made aftermarket bolts handles for the Tikka. Asa far as I know he made a bunch of straight handles but only made a couple of bent ones. I was lucky enough to get one of the bent ones since I requested it be bent.

They are not cheap as nothing factory or aftermarket for the Tikka is cheap.

Hope this helps

Re: tikka bolts

I tried to PM Fortis several weeks ago, no answer.

The people at Hinterland Shooting Supplies in Australia make some aftermarket Tikka parts including a new bolt handle and bolt knob as well as a CNC milled shroud for the bolt instead of the plastic one that comes on the rifles. I just ordered some shrouds and a bolt handle/knob combo from them off their e-bay store. Great communication so far, they sent emails when the order was received, the payment was received, and when the items were shipped. Coming from AU, they said 6 or 7 business days. I will get some pics up when the items arrive. You may want to check out their website:

Web site www.hss.net.au

And you can search for them on e-bay. I did the ebay thing so I wouldn't get charged a foreign currency conversion fee on my credit card.

Hope this helps,

Re: tikka bolts

I received my bolt handle, knob, and shroud today from Hinterland. I am very pleased with all of them and they (Hinterland) were easy to do business with.

Re: tikka bolts

Installing the bolt handle and shroud was easy. I used the video fortis made on youtube.
