So...I have a T3 (not a CTR) that I'm building into a 6mm Creedmoor. While I like chassis's, I think I'm going to with a McMillan stock for this. Here's where it gets complicated.

1. If the stock is inlet for T3 (not CTR) bottom metal, are there any DBM systems that are replacements for that inlet that allow AICS mags (Atlas, CDI, etc.)?

2. If the stock is inlet for CTR bottom metal, I know the Mountain Tactical is GTG, but want to address #1 above, before going down this road.

Any input is appreciated.

If the stock is inlet for reg T3, buy a CDI bottom metal directly from CDI, send them your stock, and they will inlet for free. Fantastic people over there, and a good inlet job as well. The CDI footprint is slightly bigger than factory, so it's fine to re-inlet to CDI, you'll never notice the difference.

I think with the CDI, you will need to remove some metal from the action too (?) at least that is how I read it on their site. In which case, they will need the action and stock to do it all for you, for a really good price FREE.

For installing the CDI on your Tikka T3 you don't need to work on the action at all. All the inletting work is done on the stock.

You can find people selling the complete CTR or CTRx stocks on the forums for 150.00 or less and use the bottom metal and mag and have McMillan inlet for it or go the CDI route. Here is a site that sells Tikka aftermarket parts with several options. ( Coretac solutions )
