Just got the stock in this morning and it bolted right up with no issues what-so-ever. Fit and finish is great and I really like the method of adjustment for the length of pull.

Dangit! You got yours before me! Mine should be here thursday, so I will add pictures of my scout here.

Your fluting looks awesome by the way. Not really my style though. Who did your work?

I need a bolt handle like that. It gets hard to operate the bolt sometimes without breaking my cheek weld.

    Re: Tikka KRG stock

Tikka aftermarket surely has picked up. I'm having dilemma whether to upgrade stock and somewhere in the future barrel nut (Roedale stuff) and just get another barrel in 6.5x47/55 and have a "quick" change barrel combo or leave it all alone (shoots extremely well in non modified factory form) and just enjoy it...

I was about to order CDI bottom metal and decided against it (have to inlet stock) as i might mess up the system that works.

Don't like the butt on this stock (seems half finished to me) i prefer more classic style...

ptd, we had to come up with a better shipping option, which we have, and yours is due in a couple days. I'll pm you the tracking number,

Justin, are you planning to have color options on them in the future?
Also, time frame for folding stock as well as Long Action model?

Not bad I would have expected a pound or two more from the looks of her

I just got mine in today!

It fits my shoulder better than I thought it would. The adjustments are well thought out. I really like it. The only complaint I have is that I have to remove the comb before the bolt. This isn't that different than the factory stock though since I had to remove my stock pack every time I took the bolt out.

The fit and finish is exactly what I wanted. The barrel floats well away from the stock, which is a vast improvement over factory. The gun feels much more stable now.

Everything was packaged appropriately for shipping. The small labeled baggies were a nice touch and helped relate items to the instructions. The remington style recoil pad is a vast improvement over the factory bad. The factory pad puts more recoil on my shoulder than my friend's 300WM Sako.

Justin said that he left me a little surprise in my shipment, notice the tin on the top left, since I was trying to get the chassis in time for last weekend's trip to the range. And to my surprise he sent me a bolt lift! And I was just debating weather to buy the one KRG made or beg and plead with Justin to make a whole handle for my gun. Its designed for a Remington but there is plenty of meat that I can hit with the dremel and make a perfect fit before using the included epoxy bedding.

I really like the texturing on the pistol style grip. It really sticks to my hand. The grip is also pretty wide, without being too much so, and has a nice contour to it.

Justin was polite when I talked to him on the phone and patiently answered all of my questions. I would definitely by from him again.

As a matter of fact. Justin please work on the this list I need to finish adding to my Tikka, since you don't have anyone else to ship stocks to right now
    wink.gif

Aluminum bolt shroud (I know they are already made, but don't want to ship international. Keep it in the USA)
One piece scope mount (Feel free to through in a NF or USO if you feel like it)
A nicer bipod than the Harris (I know atlas, but I haven't cracked enough to spend that kind of money)

If you make any of the above I'll be first in line to buy it. And if you ever get around to designing a gun from scratch and it turns out as well as this chassis I'll take that too!

I'm very happy with it if you couldn't tell and feel like it was an excellent addition to an already great shooting gun, and worth every penny! It'll be another week before I get to the range, but I'll let ya'll know how it shoots!!

    Re: Tikka KRG stock

now the market for customize t3 is growing..KRG,roedale,manners,mcmillan,robertson,jewell,ecc,ecc...
i'm very pleased for all t3 owners, because this "cousin" of trg22 shot very very well!

    Re: Tikka KRG stock

Glad you guys like the stock! We're working on implementing a strategy to help ensure constant availability.

We have made some progress with our knowledge of overseas sales. We have an exporter and a dealer in Australia now. However, we are still sold out of stocks, haha. Also we're still working on the design for the magnum length cartridges like the 6.5x55. Thanks,
    Justin

    Re: Tikka KRG stock

Dare I inquire about the price on that stock? I really like the stock...makes me want to go out and buy a Tikka since I sold the ones that I owned.

    Re: Tikka KRG stock

The magnum length version is still in progress. I think we've overcome the design difficulties but we'll see in testing.

The Whiskey-3 fixed version is 880. The folder has not been set yet. The T3 really is a good platform. I do wish they had different action sizes, but the one size is part of the reason why they are so reasonably priced, so it's a trade-off.

Chiller, what are you referring to exactly? Robert or I can both provide more details.

Somebody needs to talk Robert (RWS) out of this fine piece. It's a great caliber too, especially with Lapua .260 brass coming on line.

    Re: Tikka KRG stock

The stock is a production item from us, KRG. Initially all we had was the T3 version and we pre-sold them all out. However we have more coming, in the T3 version and others.

The rifle is a custom build from RWS that he did and dropped into our stock. He'll have to chime in on what exactly he did.

The Whiskey-3 uses AICS mags, you can even take out the front spacer for more OAL. It weighs 4lb 14oz, so less than an AICS for example. We're working on bringing a carbon forend to production and all told save a pound, ish.

We also have the folding version coming as well, it will cost more of course. The Moderator "Mike" is running the folder at the hide Cup right now. He's running his TRG with just the folding back end, not the full chassis.

Take a look at our site, we tried to provide an information overload so guys could really get an idea of what the stock is like. Of course if there's something missing, let us know so we can add it. Okay thanks,
    Justin
