For those of you who have experience with both types of ejectors in the T1X, older wire vs new fixed what are your likes dislikes of either or both. Thanks in advance.

I now have both types but not a lot of rounds through the new fixed type yet.
The immediate negative with the new fixed type is it requires use of a .20 caliber rod and even it drags a little. We'll see how it holds up over time, not looking forward to paying $98+ shipping to replace either one. Tikka seems to take their part pricing cues from the OEM auto industry.
IMO issues with either system are more related to the extractor claw and of course inconsistent bolt cycling technique by the shooter.
The extractor is a shared design with the Sako Quad and if you look at the European forums you'll see the same ejection complaints but were narrowed down to being caused by the extractor.
Echoing what Roddy B said. I've had mine for about 3 years also and shot quite a bit. I had problems with my trigger needing re-adjusted a few times but the ejector has been flawless
