Hi, I am considering two different Tikkas in different calibers, 7mm RM and 6.5 CM. I am looking for a lightweight hunting rifle. I see discrepancies between the weights listed on the Tikka website and the retail websites. I'm looking at the exact same rifle by model number on each site.

The T3x Superlite in 7mm RM on the Tikka website as 6.5 pounds, but on the Sportsmans Warehouse it's listed as 5.9 pounds.

Similarly, the T3x Compact Lite in 6.5 CM is 6.6 pounds on the Tikka website, but 5.95 pounds on the Eurooptic website.

Can anyone give me any insight into the correct weights on either of these rifles?

I've noticed the Tikka website is generally higher weight listings.

Thanks.

Just get the superlight. i have that exact rifle in 7mag and it’s a pussycat shooting 162 eld-x. believe the 5.9 lbs is correct. Put a limbsaver airtech t3x pad on there and shoot it all day. You’ll never regret having the punch and versatility of the 7 mag

Superlight all the way. I have 2 in 22-250 in hunters edge stocks

I’ve had stainless T3s and corresponding Superlites (Sportsman’s, not Cabelas) in .223 Rem, 7mm-08, .30-06, and 7mm Rem Mag.

The difference in weight is about half an average pee.

If you like the look of the fluted barrel buy it, but the difference ain’t much.

Probably not useful to the OP, but in case anyone else comes across this looking for the answer like I did, Sportsman's lists the wrong weight. If fact they have the wrong weights listed for A LOT of different guns on their website. Tikka's website has the correct weights listed, but can be very confussing because they don't list all the features of each rifle on their website. This left me absolutely ass backwards trying to figure out why the hell two rifles that seemed to be listed as exactly the same would have different weights. It's really hard to tell on some of the variables that changes the weight. The biggest one that took me forever to figure, which explained most of what seemed to be 'discrepencies' was weather or not a gun had iron sights, which adds 0.2 lbs to the rifle. So I was seeing things, for example, there would be something like a 22.4" 308 Win weighing 6.4 lbs, a 20.1" 308 Win weighing also 6.4 lbs (despite being 2.3" shorter), and a 22.4" 308 Win weighing 6.6 lbs... Well, by running through clicking on all of there various options along the side bar (which aren't always reflected in teh individual gun information) I finally figured out that in this particular incidence/example that option 2 and 3 above both had iron sights, which added 0.2 lbs, where as the first gun had no iron sights.

Probably more than most cared to read, lol, but I hope someone finds it useful at some point in time, and saves them from freaking hours of looking up each specific model version of very similar guns just to finally be able to figure out what the heck is going on with what appears to be (to me at least) numerous errors in their listed weights. All of their listed weights are correct on the Tikka website, they just do a shit job of explaining/showing what the variables are that add up to those weights.
