Tikka UPR LOP Spacer System - SOLVED

Can anyone tell me what the dimensions of a factory tikka t3x butt stock is without the recoil pad installed? Looks like Tikka sells a spacer system over in Europe for the UPR but I can’t find one in the US that I can confidently purchase knowing it will work for this newer UPR stock.

The U.S. available T3x system looks like it would work but I’m hoping someone that owns a T3x or is familiar with this issue can chime in. My T1x butt stock is definitely thinner in lateral width but I don’t know if the T1 and T3 share that dimension.

I’m hoping this system (link below) will work on the UPR but don’t want to have to return the wrong system if I can avoid it:

Photos of my UPR for reference

Other than this issue the rifle looks, feels and shoots great. Just wish I could figure out how to get another Sterk bolt handle and it’ll be perfect!

Found a solution

After failing to find any tikka butt stock measurements or any other tips on the matter, I continued pondering on how best to solve my LOP issue. Ultimately I realized the butt of the Sako S20 stock looked a heck of a lot like the UPR so I took a chance and bought a couple packages of the S20 spacer kit for about $20 each.

The UPR stock’s screw holes required some cleaning up with a knife (see top hole), but the S20 spacers were a near perfect fit, I just had to trim the beveled protrusions on the first spacer that abutted the stock to get a perfectly flush fit. The longer screws that came with the spacer kit were a perfect length to secure all 4 spacers.

With the 4 spacers installed, I have a 14.5” LOP. The ergonomics are now perfect and for less than $1500 after taxes and FFL fees, it’s a pretty darn nice rig.

Great thread and thank you! I tried to swap a spacer from a CTR stock to my new UPR and it clearly didn't work. I could use a tad longer LOP on my UPR but for right now I'm going with it. I will reference this thread later.

This is super helpful, I ran into the same problem and your thread came up when I Googled it, parts are ordered for my new UPR. What ammo does it like?

Thanks again!
