Hello all,

I've actually been on the Hide for about a year now and posted a few times. Just saw this forum and figured I'd do the official introduction.
First off I'd like to say thank you to alot of the members on here, as I have gained some very useful information, even a few "AH HA!" moments. with that said here goes.

I've got just over 20 years of service in the Army. The first half was active and was assigned to 1/160th SOAR, spent some time with 3/160 as well. I crossed the fence and joined the Nebraska Army National Guard, where I continued in my aviation MOS', then a few years back, I fully committed to the dark side and became a Recruiter for the NEARNG (my soul is now lost). Hunting and shooting has been a central focal point throughout my entire life and my military career. Until last year I kept my distance shooting to 600yds and closer. While still on active Duty I was able to earn the Gold Schutzenschnur, and have shot as part of the NEARNG's Marksmanship program.

I currently own a small farm in SW Nebraska, and have the luxury of having a pistol range in my yard and just beyond the shelter belt a 1 mile range. The south canyon I use for zero, CQ, and 3 gun work. Admittedly I'm pretty fortunate. My current passions beyond my kids include predator/varmint hunting, 3Gun, LR/ELR shooting, of course deer, pheasant and the others as well lol. I compete in as many coyote calling contests as the Army, my wife, and my checkbook will allow every season.

This is probably a long enough intro, thank you all again for the information that gets passed along.

Greetings! What an awesome place you describe. Continued good fortune sir and thank you for your service.

Thank You all.

And yes, I am very fortunate to have the ground I do and neighbors that allow me to shoot across fence lines. All I have to do is not shoot their livestock and make sure the coyotes and deer population in the area is kept in check. Hard bargains they drive I'm telling ya!!
