I am looking at buy a new trigger for my 700. It has the xmark not xmark pro. I have been looking at timney 510. Are these triggers easy to adjust? I have never dealt with one before. Thanks Guys!

Buy one that's preset from Timney direct.
I've purchased two of the 510 straight triggers for Rem 700s with safeties that were factory-tuned to break at a specific load and have not been disappointed. I use my rifles for precision long-range competing.
Preset is determined by personal preference and by the activity you'll be using the gun for....I like the lightest breaking trigger I can get without compromising safety...so no ultra-light breaking or hair triggers.

They are easily adjustable. Just follow the included instructions.

My rifle came with a Timney set a 2.5 lbs. I reset it to 1.5. No problem with slam fire. Suggest you use finger nail polish or lock tight to keep it constant.
