Anybody else have a Leupy MKIV with a reticle that is not spot on? Is this common? Mine reads approx. .1 mil over. It wasn't a big deal, I just subtracted .1 mil from my readings.

I went to Badlands Tactical this past Th.-Sun. for their Basic Sniper course. I had a great time, even in the 114* heat.

Re: TMR Reticle Accuracy

The scope is a 3.5x10x40. At badlands they have a cross set up at 100 yards with 3.6" sections so you can check the accuracy of your reticle. My scope is not a FFP. I have to mil at 10x. like I said I just subtracted .1 mil from my readings; but if you forget, it can create a large error at long range. I was shooting my Rem 700 .308 Win.

I'll call Leupold on the reticle.

The power ring is off, you have to either move it off 10x to get it where it is correct, or you have to send it in so it moves more so it matches up.

All that is wrong is the power ring marking, the reticle changes in size depending on the magnification, so you have to MAP It and remark your power ring. Silver sharpie usually works.

That is the problem with a SFP scope... they don't calibrate the markings on the magnification ring.
