Looking for my first FFP scope and trying to decide which rectical to get. I like the H37 but is it really worth the extra 700.00 bucks. Also planning on getting the spotting scope with matching rectical eventually so I thought I'd get some input from every one here. I'm sticking with Leupold and I'm down to these two choices.

Skip the 37 and get the 25 or the 27...... the 58/59 is good too. I don't like the 37, it goes too high in the field of view, unless you are shooting a 50, you don't need that much most of the time.

The spotters with Horus reticle, are pretty much the H25...... not exact match, but close enough.

Here are some pics - first a H27, in a 3x17 USO

Then a loopy spotter - those gongs are at 1750 yards, at last light, with a crappy phone:

Can't find the H37 pic, maybe later? Haven't taken one of the H58 yet, but there are several on the site here.

Nothing against the TMR, have some, the Horus isn't for everyone, if you like it, great, if not, there are lots of reticles to choose from.

Here's a pic of the H58.

Im hoping to stay with a Leupold scope. I looked at the h58 and it don't look as busy as the h37. We do get nasty winds here. Today it was 30+ with gusts near 50 at times. I'm trying to not let wind bother me with my shooting but with the scope i currently have its ball parking the mils for hold over and windage. I'm hoping to avoid buying a scope and not liking it especially at the prices for them. Not much of a market here for them so its hard to check them out before I buy.

Im just getting to long range. I've made 500yrd shots hunting but not precise shots. I've been watching the Mag-Pul dvd set for Precision shooting and trying to stick with what I'm learning. I'm moldable to a point right now and really liking the Horus system. Thinking about the Kestrel with Horus software too. I'm just searching for opinions before going all the way i guess. LOL.
