Will you let them know were patiently waiting for a civ raid that matches or exceeds the performance of a MAWL C1?
Quite honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they just needed to dial back the illum a little and make the pointer civilian strength, which is not a big deal. As far as I understand, the rating has more to do with eyesafe distance at highest strength than anything, and the Raid X illum doesn't actually narrow down to a point like Peqs etc, so it is going to be eyesafe at a higher mW than an NGAL or such would. At least that is how I understand the C1 working as civ legal, though others are certainly more knowledgeable than I.

All in, though, I am still not sure the full power Raid is better than the C1 mawl.

Would be kinda cool if they had an encoder on the focusing knob to keep track of what spread pattern you were on and it would dial the power output down to just below the legal limits for that given area. Not like Wilcox units don’t have enough brainpower to sort that out.

The NOHD on the Raid X illuminator is only 5m, so it wouldn't take a lot of alteration. For comparison, on the Atilla it is 150m.

I'm definitely not one of those other you speak of haha. I just feel like the civ legal laser/illuminator market is desperately in need of more modern options.

There’s no way Wilcox isn’t considering, or hasn't already considered a CIV Raid. I wouldn’t be surprised to see an announcement from TNVC this year.

Already have it on both of their other units — MAWL and Raptar.
