Night Vision TNVC IR TORCH PRO IR ILLUMINATOR NEW ADD ON!

Re: TNVC NEW PRODUCT: IR TORCH PRO!

Thanks for the info on the cap size Victor. I always cap my weaponlight lenses not only to protect them, but to keep them from giving off any glare when not in use. I imagine some folks might want a cap for the IR light for the same reason.

Keep up the excellent work!

Also, I wanted to thank you for all the orders of the new Torch Pro. It's been amazing the amount of these units flying off the shelves, but not surprising as we firmly feel this is one of the best IR illuminators on the market and the constant positive feedback is reinforcing this.

What's even more interesting to note is for the first time we've been asked from many about a lens cover. We've never really heard of folks asking or using a lens covers for a flashlight, so we take this as an extreme compliment.

We understand the want though, when folks first see the true quality of the lens system, it looks VERY special and one would assume it needs to be protected. While scratches and such will really not hurt the beam output, here is some info on the measurements that will assist.

The outside objective lens diameter of the Torch Pro is 1.7”. You can use the Butler Creek Size 6 (with transparent window) or Size 20 lens caps.

The last bit of info has to do with an adapter that is now getting tested that will mount directly onto to the D-740/D-760 line of scopes. We're almost there and should have these out in approx. 30 days.

Thanks again for your business!

I am told these will be ON SALE TOMORROW! Clasky will have these on the web site. I shot with the final version last night and works dandy on my D-760.

Price will be $22.95 stand alone and $19.95 when purchased with the Torch Pro.

Thanks guys!

Here some non photo savvy pics I took to show the new accessory.

The new pic rail attachment does come with the rail, screw and wrench

Re: TNVC NEW PRODUCT: IR TORCH PRO!

I received the Torch Pro just the other day so I got it mounted up on the rifle and thought I'd upload a few pics, sorry for the grainy images. It came very well packaged and Victor is right about the glass, it looks like it is of superb quality.

I have it paired with the M845 scope from TNVC, although the scope by itself is very good even in cloud cover situations. I'm looking forward to seeing how this Torch Pro can light up the night and give me even better visibility. We're supposed to get a hog hunt in sometime this year, so maybe I can give a more detailed report then but I'm hoping to check out the IR light tonight.

Re: TNVC NEW PRODUCT: IR TORCH PRO!

Well it looks like another company around here just posted and copied our D-740/D-760 pic rail adapter already.

It's the best form of flattery we know!

At least you all can still save a few dollars on our unit.

Re: TNVC NEW PRODUCT: IR TORCH PRO!

Just wanted to say that I got my Torch IR Light and mounted it on my 6.8mm AR. That is one bright monster. I am running a PVS-14 on a head-mount and when you turn the torch IR on it is like turning on the light in your house when everything is dark - "bright light, bright light"...Nice!

Saw numerous orders on the shopping cart for these units. These will ship out tomorrow guys. Thank you for the orders.

Glad we remembered all the folks who may not have the luxury of rails down the end of their shooting sticks. The new TNVC Torch Pro works very well on these scopes, in fact it was the very first scopes we tested it on a year ago. We had a crude prototype rail adapter made almost a year ago when we first tested the early proto Torch Pro heads due to the fact the initial Torch used had a removal rail grabber exposing a 1/4-20 stud to connect to the 740/760 present bracket. Only issue with that setup, folks could never keep the wheel stud into the present 740/760 bracket tight enough under recoil over time. We knew a rail had to happen but needed to get the new Torch Pro out first.

Re: TNVC NEW PRODUCT: IR TORCH PRO!

Been having several folks email us some very good questions about any blooming issues since our Torch Pro reaches out 800m...

Many folks at first do not realize that with the adjustable bezel, opening up the beam to a wide flood mitigates all blooming. When one simply needs 800m+, dial it down to its tightest setting.
smile.gif
This unit does not need a power selectable aspect either. We actually designed and tested one initially (I have that version sitting on my desk), but due to the effectiveness of our adjustable beam, the need of a power select went away in a hurry.

Thanks guys.

As long as that lack of bloom keeps her in the view finder, it's all good!

Re: TNVC NEW PRODUCT: IR TORCH PRO!

Hi skypup
Does the illuminator and the DBAL make your gun front heavy with all the Assecsories on it not to mention your T-50 FLIR,my gun seems heavy already with just the EO tech NV and the 3x EO tech magnifier, and sure fire light on the front end of my 5.56 rock river rifle.
Ron g

Re: TNVC NEW PRODUCT: IR TORCH PRO!

Ron, it certainly is heavier than without the Thermal and NV gear but the T-50 and DBAL both have excellent QD attachments so you can instantly take anything off in a seconds whenever you want to, or add it back on.

However, in my mind, weight is NOT an issue I am concerned with as there is virtually no way to have a total night vision sniper rifle equipped without it, so it is an absolute non-issue to me. I am more than happy to carry all my gear out with me on our night hunting expeditions. Many nights we cover 5-6 plus miles on foot in thick swamps in sweltering heat during the summer months. Sometimes I wish I was younger, that's about all.....

I suspect the hogs and coyotes would certainly like me to have a lighter weapon though.....

Re: TNVC NEW PRODUCT: IR TORCH PRO!

Thanks skypup
I guess I need to bulk up on my cardio and strength in carrying heavy weapons and gear, being 50 yrs old has slowed me down at bit,I don't have the strength as when I was in my 20-30.I guess to have Nv and thermal one would need that gear to shoot at night. It is amazing hat you can carry all that gear 4-5 miles. Is most of your hunting for hogs and coyotes?
Thanks

Re: TNVC NEW PRODUCT: IR TORCH PRO!

Come on Man, you need to get off the couch and get out and do some serious hardcore hunting!!! Don't whine about your age, that is something you have no control over, just make the best of it and carry on!

I'm 61 and have had two ruptured discs in my lower back (that is about the only thing that I consciously think of that slows me down...).

All of our night hunting is for hogs and coyotes as that is what it is legal for us to remove these vermin.

I do manage to nail quite a few night armadillos with my trusty Baby Browning .25ACP every now and then though....

Re: TNVC NEW PRODUCT: IR TORCH PRO!

Amazing pics of your last hunting trip, how do you like your handheld FLIR system? I would love to have one,but if I had to choose I would pic the Atn Thor Thermal imaging system. It starts around 5,500 dollars for us poor people.Have you seen or looked at this system for rifle applications,I know it's not a t-50 but its a nice poor man thermal from what I here and have read about.

Re: TNVC NEW PRODUCT: IR TORCH PRO!

My main regret about the ruptured discs is that I no longer can ride my prize Arabian horse, Sarazen, who was born in the stable 28 years ago and has lived in the pasture in the front yard since then, we covered an awful lot of ground together in the past....

Just an awesome animal....

I also was forced to give up Motocross and switch over to high speed road racing.....

Re: TNVC IR TORCH PRO! Upated D-740/760 Scope Rail

Just received my newTnvc IR torch pro and it looks great, can not wait untill I get my pvs -14 next.I have a question on the torch, can anyone see the reflection of the lense at night if they have night vision with the light in the off position,I am a where that it can be seen when turned on with NV from another person scope.Does my torch need a cap to keep the reflection on the lense from being seen?
Thanks
Ron g

Re: TNVC IR TORCH PRO! Upated D-740/760 Scope Rail

Hi Ron,

Any visible reflection off a piece of glass may be seen by another NV device. While not as bright let's say as the sun coming off a day optic, it can still be seen none the less if the angle of light is correct. This also can happen if the moon is at the perfect angle reflecting off the front of your lens.

While even rarer, I've had the moon actually reflect off the rear glass of a clip-on device which caused havoc while viewing through my day scope. (Mind you, there was only a 1" gap between the Clip-on and the day scope). Another reason to sometimes use the hood that come with Clip-on devices.

In closing, You can use a Butler Creek day cover if needed on the Torch Pro. The outside objective lens diameter of the Torch Pro is 1.7”. You can use the Butler Creek Size 6 or Size 20 lens caps.

Re: TNVC IR TORCH PRO! Upated D-740/760 Scope Rail

Sincerely
