Well, 6 hours of sleep in Las Cruces can only get so exciting; and the longer my vehicle and trailer sit in the empty parking lot means it's a target of opportunity for tweakers. On the road we go.

Yeah, on the phone the fellows I have spoken with, so far, have been arrogant pricks.
Texas does seem to have some good highways overall. There are some rough sections here and there but I do think they have a rather good Mtc. plan overall.
A bit of advice, Don't refer to any Interstate or any other highway as "The 10" "The 410" you pick the number for any road, just don't put "The" in front of it.
That alone will identify you as a "Cali" and you don't want that.
I am always helpful towards anyone needing directions, until, they ask me something like, "Should I take "The 76" or go down "The 14?"
Suddenly, I know nothing. It's a California thing and lets any Native know where you are from.

God! New Mexico is BEAUTIFUL country.
