Just got back from a two day trip to the Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio. If you're within driving distance and a fan of roller coasters I'd highly recommend making the trek. They've got several outstanding coasters including the currently voted World's Best which is amazing. My personal favorite was the Top Thrill Dragster which takes you from 0 to 120mph in 3.8 seconds then pushes you straight up 400', over a crest and straight back down. It's over in less than 30 seconds but by far the most intense experience I've had aside from skydiving.

My six year old daughter got to ride her first coaster and she at it up:

Dang wish i would have known that was there when we got blown of erie fishing walleyes but fishing in 10 foot waves was damn near being on a roller coaster. Pretty sure that is just down the road from port clinton where we were staying

Cedar Point is the best! I took proximity to good amusement parks for granted growing up in Muncie, but out west they are very few and very, very far between. If Cedar Point is still open when I get back from deployment, I may have to make a trip.

ive been to both parks and i prefer cedar point. they're both fun but i think cedar point seems bigger, its easy to get off somewhere quiet if ya want to.

that video looks like youre riding the mantis(standing up in a car) . my favorite is the raptor (your feet hang down, no car).

Re: Took the family to Cedar Point, Sandusky Ohio

That one was the Iron Dragon. I did ride the Mantis but didn't get to ride the Raptor unfortunately. The Millenium Force and Top Thrill Dragster were enough to keep me happy though.

I went there on a graduation trip back in 91 and i thought it was way better than six flags. Maybe someday i will take my kids but it sure is a long way from southeast new mexico.

What, do ya live under a rock or something? Cedar Point is, and has been, one of the most popular and well known amusement parks in North America for decades.

I went to Cedar point about 10 years ago when the Millennium Force coaster was the latest and greatest (in the world). I did the 2 day pass, spent the first 1/2 of each day in the dry park, then the latter 1/2 in the water park. They were pouring nice stiff drinks at the swim up bar

I'd definitely go back

Ya should have been there for the fireworks!
Guy at work has preferred pass and staked out spot @ 5 pm Sun.
One of the YT vids appears to be from the condos on Chause.

Whenever Gambeli puts on a show they rattle the windows and roofs 12-15 miles away!
Trust me, I know.

Monday nights show was longer and more intense.

There is a little Church that does killer ribs and chicken 1 block from Mickey Dees and the firehouse.
Saturday only

PM if you want more info.
I worked across the street from them for five years.

The ladies do the cooking, so he sides vary.
Greens or beans, salad or slaw, cornbread or white bread, cake or pie.

Ribs and chicken are great.(Always the same)
Fish is corn meal breaded Whiting. (little strong for me)

Us locals avoid the whole area if possible in the summer.

If it's tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

Glad to see you had a good time.
If you want more info on the area just let me know.
There is a lot more than just CP.
