George looks cocky but when it came down to it he did something honorable and didn't seek credit for it in fact he denies he threw the shot but anyone watching that season knows the truth. That dude is good people, you haters ought to think about that.</div></div>

if you believe that you're nuttier than squirrel turds </div></div>
RIGHT.... I dont have to believe I saw it for myself, dont talk shit unless you actually saw the episode and can back up your opinion. but I like your avatar pic is that the vjj you get on a regular basis? Nice taste you freak</div></div>

you saw it for yourself...on a reality television show, CLASSIC! no need to get all butthurt, you have your opinion on the shitbag, and I have mine. I'll be sure to slap George on the back if i ever meet him, i'm telling you this so your aware cause a slap on the back could get dangerous for you with his cock down your throat and all </div></div>Dang. To me, it was clear that George MISSED the shot, and then covered his narcissist ass by playing all his boyfriends for fools.

He choked, then played Sir Galahad's flute.

I have never understood all the comments like this about the show. It says at the beginning it is a show about "marksmanship with any weapon". It is not exclusively about guns. Personally I enjoy the primitive weapons as much as the guns, especially the atl-atl earlier this year. </div></div>

Yet you can get voted off ..... even IF you are the best shot out of everyone. To me, that makes the show bullshit and doesn't accurately depict who is actually the "Top Shot". The very first episode I watched had an olympic shooter (young kid) and he was the best shot out of everyone and he was the first to get voted off. He was probably the TOP SHOT. So, that was the last I watched. Terrible show. Then on the same season, they had the IPSIC duche grand master (or whatever). If the gun wasn't a glock, he couldn't shoot it ..... and whined like a bitch about it. He should have been voted off. A top shot would be able to shoot anything given to him.

I was wondering what that weapon was on the commercial. Glad someone posted it here. Thanks for the OP.

Re: Top Shot on the History Channel

Maybe I saw it from a different perspective, but I think you guys are a little off with George- I don't think he was a douche- he was a joker. If you saw his after-season interview, and then went back and listened to his comments during the show, you could tell he wasn't being serious.
At least, that became pretty clear to me when they shot the M1A, and he was talking about it being his "metallic deathstick"....
Unlike the guy who just got eliminated (william?)who it was clear was a cocky SOB. Or that annoying golf guy from last season.

Onward-
Throwing the rocks pissed me off too. That's just absurd. I would have been furious if I had gotten eliminated over that crap. I guess they must have gone over budget that season or something....

That being said, despite all the retarded crap going on with the show (frienship bandanas? boo-hooing over whose target you had to shoot? really?) I think it still deserves at least a little more support than it gets around the shooting boards like this. You just gotta lower your expectations way down, and remember that for once this is a well publicized show that actually promotes firearms, their ownership, and the "sporting use" of ALL different types.

It's been reset by a Britt with a AWSM.

Yep, the guy on the show was indeed wrong when he said "this rifle" (referring to the AX338) set the record.

It was the L115A3 that was used to set the record.

Honestly though, at 2,707 yards there is a shit-ton of guess work involved... almost luck even. No one has dope out to that range, and even if you did it would be a miracle to make two successful hits with it. Amazingly, it was done so I digress.

Also, George was indeed a massive snatch. Then again, who really knows how much of what we get to see if just scripted, drama-inducing crap.

Ughh, it's like "Sons of Guns" without the "game changa" almost every episode. "This shit is Simm-pull..."

Re: Top Shot on the History Channel

I said the same thing last night about the 'voting' shit. People should be eliminated based on their performance.

The person with the lowest combined score of the competition(s) goes home, whether it be red or blue team, until there is only one person left.

Re: Top Shot on the History Channel

Yeah, it was a 30 inch diameter target, of the noisy variety.

Those guys must have some serious high-speed equipment, unless the flying bullet shots are computer graphics. They look real to me but what do I know? I'm old.

true but if you noticed he fired the fewest rounds (3) in that stage. where he messed up was wasting time checking mirage at all distances. just shoot and correct from there.

don't really care bout him, but people talking bout better shots getting eliminated, he was quite easily the best shot on the blue team and got voted into elim Round cause dousch headband guy had issues with him.

again, the reason why I hate the show, popularity contest.

DT

ETA: George blew that shot and tried to pass it off as intentional. VERY dishonorable if you ask me.

Re: Top Shot on the History Channel

In those later rounds, the contestants slide away from eliminating the weak link on their own team to eliminating the contestants they think might beat them out for first.
