let me first state the reason i am asking here, and not calling TT. i would like real world answers, and not promises from a manufacturer.

i have a sig 226 9mm that i would like to have a threaded barrel for. on TTs website, under sig 226, they have "extend and thread".

how do they do it?

Re: tornado technologies - extend and thread

They thread your barrel, machine an adapter for your threads, screw it on to your barrel. The adapter will extend past your slide and be threaded for the thread pitch you desire for your device. Adco offers the same service.
Every now and then Numerich has used 226 barrels in stock.
You can purchase a new Sig 226 barrel (factory threaded) From several retailers Top Gun supply is a good place to start.

Re: tornado technologies - extend and thread

i bought a beretta bbl from them. it was an extended bbl they threaded 13.5 lh to match the sigs
they were great and did a good job
no bs on the phone

cant really define extend, on mine they threaded an extended bll

Re: tornado technologies - extend and thread

in2b8u, that makes perfect sense. i am looking to get the 1/2x28 threads.

i have one 226 that has the 13.5x1 LH threads, and it is giving me fits with my YHM cobra. a guy i demoed an osprey with had it on an HK with the LH threads and he said it gives him trouble too. as you tighten the can, the adapter/booster comes off.

the 226 mentioned in the original post doesn't have a threaded barrel.

i really don't want to buy an aftermarket barrel.
