Gunsmithing Torque screwdrivers

Re: Torque screwdrivers

The Wheeler is pretty good, but look at the Borka that is being offered on here. As well if you want an adjustable one similar to the Wheeler, Borka has one made for them which they calibrate and check, it comes in a nice package and has a bigger adjustment range than the Wheeler.

The wheeler is good, the Borka's are better.

Re: Torque screwdrivers

Brownell's sells the Borkas, but not the engraved one at last check. I asked if they were going to carry it and they said "NO". That was a couple months ago, however. Brownell's Link

I think there is/was a thread selling them going on, lemme try to find it..............Found it!

Re: Torque screwdrivers

I have a Wheeler and it works great.. But I recently purchased a Borka. I never use my Wheeler anymore since I got it. The Borka is much more slimline.

Re: Torque screwdrivers

I like the Wheeler "FAT" screwdriver from Midway. Use one of the Midway codes for a discount and it's even a better deal.

As "precision" as my tools for cars? No, but I'm not really up for spending a lot of money on a different one. I've compared/checked it to my expensive lb-in torque wrench, and they're within a pound or two of each other. Close enough for me.

Re: Torque screwdrivers

I bought all the guys at work the Wheelers for their boring bars and face mill insert screws. Seems to be the best bang for the buck and have held up well for a commercial use. -Brandon
