Rifle Scopes TPS Rings and Nightforce Scopes

Re: TPS Rings and Nightforce Scopes

ah because the areas on the sides of mine on the inside where the screw holes are on the bottom and on the top part of the ring set too, are curved too far inward that it scratches my scope AND my scope tube will not seat all the way inside the ring. there's a vacancy/cavity on the very bottom of the scope.

Re: TPS Rings and Nightforce Scopes

I've never had that with TPS rings. Are the rings like that with other scopes? I'd consider contacting TPS.

Pardon me for asking but, I presume you do have the witness marks matched up between the lower and upper halves?

yeah absolutely. it doesnt look manufactured right. I dont mind lapping em though. I had the same problem with the burris rings. Nothing a little elbow grease wasn't able to fix.

Re: TPS Rings and Nightforce Scopes

Might mesure your scope tube. NSX tubes run a bit in the + direction

Re: TPS Rings and Nightforce Scopes

I took a Nikon tactical off and put a NF in which ended up being tight, after lapping a little it fit better but not as perfect as the Nikon did. very light ring marks left after changing rings. I think the tube with coating makes it slightly + like people are saying.
