i HAVE 2...they are awesome....better than my Vortex AMG....better than my buddies NF NX8....
Just bought one. Have not exercised the turrets enough to give an opinion. View through the glass is outstanding.
You’re saying that the Toric has better glass and tracks better than the Razor AMG and Nightforce?
it has better glass than Razor and NF NX8....and the two I have track perfect....as does my AMG and my buddies NX8....I need two more scopes...they will be TRACT....better scope at half the price of the AMG and a lot less than NX8.....so far I have only shot out to 1200 yards and it is spot on with AB on my Kestrel......
dont know...I have it on a 20 MOA....it only takes 7.5 to go out to 1000...
Did a tall tracking test in Alaska for PR2 and it tracked perfectly. 100%. Mentioned a little bit in the everyday sniper podcast.
On a heavy mirage day s&b, kahles, and zco do better but they also cost twice as much.
For me at least the razor amg and Tract perform about the same.
Fuck you guys saying it's optically just as good or better than an AMG. Now I want to buy a Tract!!!
What do you consider an "amazing" price? Curious minds want to know, or at least mine does.
This thread sucks, I just narrowed down my next scope to an Athlon Cronus BTR, the force is strong with the Athlon posts. But, I kept looking at the Tract website. Can anybody compare the two? I couldn't find that much for reviews for the Tract. Appreciate it.
I find Tract's turrets better. Parallax a lot better. I like the crisper reticle of the Tract, easier to spot impacts. Glass is very similar. Tract cuts through mirage better.
Tract is going to very similar to the Razor HD Gen 2 with imo a better reticle and form factor.
Sighted in with 120gr Speer Gold Dot handloaded 6.5 Grendel. Was shooting out to 300yds and adjusted up to .7 mils for the 120gr. Then switched to 140gr Barnes Match Burner. Dialed up to 1.7 mils above 100 yd zero. And was hitting the plate at 300 yds with 140 grainers. Very clean. Could see the wind shift through the mirage.
Seems like it's a steal considering it's only a few hundred bucks more than the viper PST line which is made is China or Philippines. Definitely have to look into them for my next scope if they are on par with the Razor line.
Tract has a MIL/LE discount if you ask, ship for free and don't charge sales tax if you are outside of PA. They have had a few sales this year as well.
I looked at the Cronus which some say is a great scope. For me its too old a design. I also did not like that Athlon’s next gen scope, the Ares which they say is better or comparable to Cronus, is made in China.
Screw it, been flip flopping around about which scope to pick up next. Don't know why I am putting so much effort into the decision, won't be the last scope I buy, unless the old lady puts me out of my misery. I will call about the discount later today and try to get the 4-20 ordered today.

Took my 6.5 Grendel and the Toric UHD PRS (30mm tube) to the range yesterday. I shoot at verifying distances from 400 to 1100 yds. The scope tracks very well. I dialed up and down. I shot 10 rounds at 1100 yd and then dialed back down to 400 yds fired 8 rounds then out to 800 and shot 10 rounds.
I like it; it’s a keeper for me.

Have about a 1,000 rounds fired since mounting. Of course, its a 22! Bit much. Yet it is pretty awesome to see the holes appear in the paper 50 or 100 yds away. Instant feedback. Helping me improve my technique to get to reliable subMOA shooting. OTOH, about 10 other people at the range today using smaller rifle scopes and then getting up to look through their spotting scope. Having fun with it til I move it to a 6.5
The 4.5-30x56 has worked through the heavy mirage at 1000 yards that I experienced 2 weeks ago. It's a solid scope and I think good enough for 99% of the situations.
I have no experience with it and won't have. For a prs scope have a look at the field of view. You are required to find multiple targets on the clock and assuming in a good scope you have reliable tracking and at least usable glass I consider fov the most important thing in a prs scope. There are a few cheaper scopes that are told to have as good or better glass than some of the well used high end scopes. Most of them have a poor fov tho.
Yes there are scopes with higher FoV, like the Tangent Theta with 5.1 feet at 100 yards.
The Tract, Razor Gen II, and Kahles all have the same FoV.
I got to check one of these out at the WAR Rifles match last week. A squad member had one and we all checked out each other's glass at the end of the match. I liked this scope a lot! The turrets were very nice, smooth, easy to turn and not mushy. I will say that I am currently using an Athlon Cronus BTR and have been for 4 years now. I have been on Athlon to make a Cronus with a capped or locking windage turret for a long time to no avail. Looks like Tract beat them to it.
The reticle is great but not much different than what is already widely available these days. I would say my only gripe with the Tract was the size of the elevation turret...beer can anyone? Other than that, it seems like a very well executed design and the price is amazing for what they're offering. I didn't get to spend a ton of time in different lighting conditions, but the glass was just as nice as anything else I've looked through in that price range. I don't think you can go wrong with this scope for that price point. They're new, so time will tell how TT does down the road and I have no experience with their CS. YMMV. I will look hard at one of these if Athlon doesn't come out with a Cronus Gen-II next year.

Actually gen to razor is 4.4 at 27 power. So probably 4.1 at 30 power.
Burris xtr3 is 4.2 at 30 power
Steiner m7xi is 4.2 at 28 power
Night force nx8 has 4.6 at 32 power
Going under 4 is just not needed and sucks in prs
Ah oops, forgot to normalize things. I just remember Tract was 4.4 @ 25x power. So yeh it's not great. The Kahles review for the 525i was 4.5 @ 25x and they complained about the FoV being smaller than NF and TT. Though I know plenty who run and continually loving Kahles.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love more FoV, but I also run at 12-15x majority of the time so the FoV seems alright for my usage. Though I guess I've only really put a lot of time behind the Athlon Cronus and Ares ETR. Which also have the same FoV as the Tract.
NX8 looks intriguing, how's the glass?
Everybody seems pleased with this scope. Have Ilya or LL reviewed it? What is the minimum parallax?
I think when you don't know better it doesn't worry your. The fov on a Burris xtr2 never worried me. Now after changing to a 3 I can't stand it. If your just shooting long range and not shooting prs matches the fov doesn't matter a Damn.
The glass on the nx8 for the price is quiet good. The fov is amazing. The part I didn't like when using it. (I've only spent a few minutes behind one.) Was the depth of field. If you have your paralax set at one distance and you are shooting at another ots not very clear. Without actually knowing I would expect this to be an issue with watching your own trace as well. Other than that it's a nightforce

well i thought i would revive this thread as i have a TORIC UHD 4.5-30X56 34MM FFP MRAD ELR Rifle Scope coming in on Monday. I've been wanting to try one of these tract scopes since they first came out , and now with the 34mm tube, decided to give them a try. One because they're finally in stock, and 2 they have a 10% off christmas sale going on thru the 11th i think. Will let u know what i think after i give it a trial
I'm sure you'll like it. I've been thinking of picking up one again after I sold mine to try out the new Leica. Thinking of going back to it.

I have a friend who swears by these Tract Toric (30mm version) scopes for the past year (maybe year and a half now???) or so.
He was telling me the other day that he is still faithful to them, and that he is looking forward to the 34mm version. He has a fleet of them, and that they all track well. FWIW

Leica has probably the top glass in the $3000 range. The tool-less zero is nice and easy. Turrets are crisp. Personally I really like the reticle, and the parallax is spot on. A few people compared glass to slightly edge the ATACR, and for $500 less, that's a pretty good deal.
The biggest gripe I have is that I can only use the reticle for quick holdovers/windcalls at around 18x. Below that, the lines are just too fine. So for me, given I'm newer to PRS and I am not like Jon Pynch running the scope at 20x+, I tend to run my scope at around 12x so I can have a good FoV. This doesn't work out for quick holdovers/time, as it's too hard for me to read the reticle lines at that magnification.
Right now the scope sits on my range shooting rifle / groups etc and I love shooting with it, just not under the clock.

that's the same problem i have with my athlon cronus, the lines are just to fine for my older eyes. guess it's why i like my NF and Kahles. Another reason i decided to try the tract, $1000 less than the Leica
I ran the Toric 4.5-30 on my Vudoo for a while and ran it at a few matches, awesome scope for my rimfire rig.
