What makes me really sad, angry and a whole bunch of other stuff is that it won't end with a bang. Our Republic, our freedom, the country we grew up knowing and loving will winnow away under leftist ideals, until all that is left of those amber waves of grain is the chaff. The shining city on a hill will slowly tarnish and corrode, and the light it cast will dim. But I'll be damned if I let it go out.
I think the country needs to hit rock bottom before the pendulum will swing back the other direction in any meaningful way. As long as there are people left who can think rationally and objectively, there is hope for this nation.

Yep, I read today that a recent poll showed that 64% of democratic voters in the poll did not want Biden to run for re-election. But, the same poll showed that 92% of those same voters would vote Biden in a Biden v Trump rematch...

My rich Jew friend I've known since high school was trying to impress a female who wanted to go shooting with an AR. He of course didn't know shit so he asked me to advise him. After showing him the basics of gun safety and sight picture, loading, charging etc., I told him he could borrow an AR. I told him he needed at least on black rifle of his own anyway, and a few thousand rounds of ammo. He was cool to the idea and didn't even ask the usual questions of someone in the market for an AR.
I further implored him to get one, saying that virtually every Israeli owns some version of an M16 or Uzi, determined never to be a victim again and he of all people should feel that way.
The range session didn't transpire but after a school shooting he unloaded on me about AR15s and pretty much blamed me and people like me that owned them as the reasons the kids were dead.
He was also a rabid Democrat and Obama lover who kept his widescreen locked on CNN blasting their propaganda. I haven't spoken to him since the 2015 Trump win over Hillary. There is no fucking way one could change him to vote Republican. It would be the equivalent of him becoming a Muslim.
