I'm a fairly new shooter in the Bay Area, CA looking for some hands-on training. I can't make it out to the Rifles Only class next month, and wanted to see if anyone had some other recommendations.
Assuming you are on this site for precision shooting I would recommend NCPPRC: News. They are great folks and very welcoming. Not sure they have formal instruction however they do have a number of options available to get good hands on help(highly recommended). They also have a good forum and many of them are here on Snipershide. If my memory serves me correctly I think they have one of Marc S's (Spartan Precision Rifles) great rifles you can borrow. All sorts of great info at the NCPPRC site on meeting times, the loaner rifle, etc.
Its not expensive to sign up for the Sac Valley range and you can get out to 300yrds on the public range. Start on the 100yrd rifle range, get pretty accurate, take your target to the range office and they will likely qual you for the 150/200/300 yrd range.
I see you signed up for training here and thats a great way to get good info to augment the hands on part you can get from the ncpprc group.
Welcome to Snipershide and feel free to PM me(left click on my forum name at the top of my profile in the left pane).
Norcal (East Bay) shooter here. You might ask MaxOrdinate who will be doing a DM2 (more positional) class this weekend at Twin Sisters. Dunno how full, but you could figure out if there's a fit.
