Re: TRG 22 vs 42 regrets?

My analysis favoring .308:
1. Much less expensive ammo-I do reload, but even components are more.
2. Less recoil- I realize that some shooters are more recoil sensitive than others, but I doubt many people really shoot better with a heavier recoiling rifle.
3. Longest shooting range within 200 miles is 1000 yards. 500-600 more common.
4. Beyond SHTF fantasies, no real need to shoot through armored cover
Am I missing anything? Given my parameters, any reason I would regret the TRG22?
Thanks,

I bought my TRG 22 in 308 and have never regretted it. My main reasons:
1. Never shoot over 800 yards
2. Just as accurate as TRG 42 in 338.
3. Much less expensive to shoot the TRG 42 in 338
4. Much less recoil than the 338.
5. When some one shoots a 338 in any rifle shooters along side tend to get upset at noise and back blast.
6. I have a number of other rifles I reload for in 308 and did not have to buy new dies, projos and brass
