I have a Jard single stage trigger. When I shoot off of the bench, holding the rifle with one hand (right), stock pulled into my shoulder, nice slow trigger pull I get the dreaded BAM, BAM or BAM, BAM, BAM... double or triple tap almost every time. I've adjusted it every way possible, called Jard and went over it with them, induced creep, changed out springs from 2 to 4 lbs., no dice.
If I use a good solid two hand hold or jerk the trigger a little, everything is fine. Off hand or sticks and everything is fine.
Best I can tell, It's bump firing (bouncing of my shoulder and hitting the trigger again), but haven't wanted to lay out the cash to try another trigger to see if it is just a Jard issue.
I end up single feeding when I work up loads or shoot off of the bench. I don't like this because I would prefer not to break my cheek weld between shots.
Anyone else have this problem?... Any suggestions?
