Too late to call TT so need some help.
Installing a new TT in a Rem 700 with factory bolt release. The trigger bolt release lever binds on the factory bolt release lever. The lever with spring moves freely, no issues. I polished the end of the lever where the trigger lever rides and it still binds. I had a new Rem bolt lever and tried that, same issue.
I looks like the contact area of the trigger lever has a VERY small flat at the 90 degree bend but has a slight angle cut on the side and as you push up on the bolt release it pushed the bolt lever slightly to the side as it pushes up on the lever or it overrides the flat part of the lever, binds, and it won’t release.
Pulled out a new Timney trigger and installed it and it works fine, no binding with both levers. No issues with an old tuned Rem trigger that was in the rifle.
Frustrated and need a beer.
Any thoughts?
