Triggercam 2.1+

One disadvantage I’ve found with the new Trigger Cam 2.1+, and I hope that I’m just missing something, but don’t think so, is on the Tangent Theta 735 it has to be mounted at a 90, and even still interferes with low/high zoom as it interferes with the zoom throw, which is surprising because it’s not that large in the TT, unless I’m messing something up mounting improperly…if so please let me know, especially if your already running in on a TT 735. Here it is all the way engaged forward on the TT 735, not tightened in the pic, but the outcome is the same in the normal top position.
So it turns out if you mount the Trigger Cam 90 degrees left it will work on the TT 735. Still a miss on Trigger Cam, just lift the top assembly up a few mm, instead of just 3D printing new collars and calling it a “new model” that will work with larger eye piece optics….having used an old one with ZCO there were ways to make it work, but not right. They need to actually redesign the entire system, especially in the days where more PRS and shooters in general are making the x-25 magnification jump to a x-35-40, with footprints shrinking and optics getting better. I mean what’s the objective size on the new Kahles 540? 56mm? Unfortunately there’s no other hand that’s this crisp in town. Even the multi shot camera systems do not have the same level of quality as far as recording and playback when they connect and work properly.

Roger that, so it sounds like it has not been intuitive for you. Good to know. Obviously everyone's experience may be different and for some it might not be an issue.
I've had mine for about a month and I've taken it to the range several times. It's been on a ZCO 5-27, a Leupold Mk 6 3-18, a Nightforce NX-8 2.5-20 and a S&B 4-16. I've had zero issues, and it's taken some great videos, with excellent clarity on both the reticle and the target. Here a few things I've figured out along the way:

- It can be a pain figuring out which sleeves to use for each scope. Once I figure it out, I label the sleeves and keep track of which sleeve combos work for each scope.

- On two of the scopes I've had to "shim" one of the sleeves with electrical tape on the side so the image is centered. If not, the image will look good at max zoom but will not be centered once zoomed out. It's a bit time consuming, so I make sure everything is squared away at home before heading to the range.

- It's best to set your parallax first at a distant target (I typically go 400+ yards), then adjust the focus on the Triggercam. If I do it this way the video will be in focus through a greater range of target distances.

- The files get big quickly, especially in 4K. Transferring them to your phone via the app takes forever, so I just wait until I get home then transfer via micro SD/USB to my computer.

Overall I've found it mostly easy to set up and use, though a bit finicky with the sleeves. Definitely very happy with the purchase, and if anyone has any questions I'll do what I can to help get them answered.

Greatly appreciate that bp, that will help give a kick start to it all...

Two more things to add...First, the focus knob is pretty small, so it's kinda hard to manipulate if you have fat fingers, and it adjusts the focus in small amounts. I had a tough time getting it focused just right using my phone, so I started using my tablet. The bigger screen helped quite a bit, and it's another reason I set it up at home, since I don't take my tablet to the range.

Also, I've never bothered using the record button on the unit so I can't speak to how well it works, but using the app to start/stop recording and otherwise control everything works great.
