Just ordered a trigger gauge but i went as light as i could go even so far as taking the set screw out and it feels heavy to me. Now maybe it's been a long time since i've pulled a 1.5lb trigger but it feels more like 2.5lb-3lb. It's on a TL3. Any tips to lower it? I would like to add it's the most crisp single stage trigger I've felt, no take up, no creep, breaks like a glass rod.

Oh..well that would make sense. It says 1.5 on the box and i thought on the description at the site.

Yup 1.5-4.0lbs though i can understand if everyone can't meet that 1.5lb mark. Having said that i feel like i'm well above 2lbs. It's akin to my Sako 85 factory trigger though more crisp.

I have the special TT trigger on my TL3 and its supposed to go down to 1 pound but Im at 1.75 pounds and cant get lower, so I called them and they told me it has to do with the type of spring on the TL3
action only, and If I would switch it out to a Rem action I would get to the 1 pound pull weight easy. So the trigger still is good at 1.75 lbs and I will try it out on the Rem action I have just to see.

Thats odd, i was getting my 1.5lb results from a TL3 though. Now im wondering if the action or the trigger is the cause of this discrepancy. Maybe I got lucky?
Im about to pick up a Curtis Axiom next week, ill see if that changes anything.

Keep me posted, i don't think that's far off. My CE i put on dad's SR3 was perfect on a 700. On the SR3 it has noticeable takeup which i consider basically creep. It's movement that shouldn't exist in a single stage trigger. Never had that issue with my 700 it was on before. I'll be honest if it's reading 3lbs come saturday i'll be calling them, at the very least i'll pay the difference between it and a special.

I've got a Standard on one of my 700s and it's nice and crisp but I wanted lighter so ordered a Special for another 700 I have. I don't have a trigger pull gauge so can't put a number to it but curious to see what the difference feels like...

Got the wheeler in, dunno how accurate it is but it's a baseline. TT is at 2.5lbs at the lowest setting. Dad's CE on his SR3 is at 1.5lbs and my BnA on my Tempest is right at 1lb total..

    From TriggerTech site:
All pull weights and measurements are approximate. ***Pull weights of TriggerTech Triggers are directly impacted by firing pin spring weight. Overweight firing pin springs may cause pulls weights to vary above the advertised range***

I've it ever used the specials, have two of them and had 2 more on rifles I've sold. None felt mushy, all but one were on bighorns, the other a Remington SA and all have been left whatever they came set at. Never needed or bothered to adjust any of them. They have been the most consistent triggers I've used both in trigger to trigger consistency and varying action hosts as well as pull to pull consistency on a single trigger. Much more so than the CE triggers I've had.
