I am interested in the optic. I have looked through it. I have hefted it, twisted the knobs, and know what it costs. Basically anything you can "get" from YouTube or asking a buddy who has one, or handling it in a gunstore, I already know. Here are my questions, though, and I gather that they are likely more in-depth that most people care to go into, but am hoping someone may know more than the spec-sheet says.
How good is the tracking on this scope? Does it "share guts" with other Trijicon products, and if so, how is the track record? How good is the resolution of the glass used? I cannot tell the difference between a Vortex Strike Eagle, and a Nightforce NXS 1-4, so I am just curious here. I am not a "clarity snob", although I did notice some chromatic aberration around 8x that is not present on my MK6 or K16i. Is this a function of higher magnification, or crappy coatings? How durable is this thing likely to be, if anyone knows much about the guts of it/what was done INSIDE the scope? The VCOG has a poor track record in the field, despite it's badass housing, so I am curious about GUTS.
