Rifle Scopes Trijicon Accupoint 5-20x50, what would you do?

Quest, what kind of shooting do you do, and what's your budget? For me I'd really like to stick w/ FFP and matching turrets. It's a simple way of shooting. I know some people are used to SFP, and used to non matching turrets, but that does not negate the fact, that FFP and matching turrets are faster, and easier to use.
For that money you can almost be into a Bushnell Elite 6-24 that's FFP, mil/mil, has a better reticle, better glass and IMO a higher quality optic.
I own and like Trijicons but I've never been impressed with the accupoint line. They lack in important features and there is better out there for the money. I'd even buy a PST before I bought accupoint and I'm far from a PST fan.

I learned on a moa/mil sfp scope so I'm pretty familiar with it. I will be shooting paper maxed out at 500yds for the most part.
I had a TR23-2G and now have a Bushy ET6245FG.
To my eyes there's not as much difference in the glass as redneck sees but the far superior G2DMR reticle, mil/mil, and FFP make the Bushnell a much better scope than the TR23.
The only compelling feature of the Trijicon is the dual illumination dot but it was not a valuable feature to me.

Quest, based on what you stated about moa/mil, shooting only to 500 and not needing or even requiring matching reticle and turrets and FFP go with the accupoint. I had one, took it to two sniper schools and several sniper comps and it was robust, accurate, great glass, tracked dead nuts on and was everything I wanted it to be. It will serve you well for your intended purpose.

I agree with Sully. I first put one on my .300WM thinking I might see what the rifle can do at 1000. I now have it on my Rem. LTR .308. For hunting, targets (not precision), or ringing steel to 500 yards, it's perfect for me. Reticle is pretty thick for precision use. No complaints here.
I used to run the MK4 4.5-14x50 on the same LTR. Served me well for Police Sniper work. The things I didn't like about the Leupy was how the eye relief got real tight at max power, but on the 6.5-20 you may never need to max the power at 500 yards. Also, the side parallax adjustment had a lot of slop in it. I heard it was a common complaint with those scopes. I've also heard that they have addressed it.

You may be familiar with it but fact is you will be much faster with a matched turret and reticle scope. There are no calculations, no conversions. I used to shoot moa/mil scopes and didn't want anything to do with these new "metric" scopes until I tried one. I will never own a scope again that doesn't have a matched system, it's night and day better.
I have both the Leupold 5x20x50 and the trijicon you describe. Both are nice but I think the trijocon is superior. The glass is awesome and the lighted reticle with fiberoptic is bombproof. Neither has a zerostop. That for me is why they are gathering dust.
